Hey everyone,
I am new to this form.

Application sent: July 9th
Application received: July 13th
AOR received: Sep 10
MR Received: March 13
MR done: March 15
Request to re-do medical test: March 23
MR done: March 25
Ecas Status: In process

I got an email from cic to submit police clearance from RCMP with finger print. I have no idea how to do it. I live in Toronto. Can anyone help and suggest what to do and where to do it?

Thanks,
KJ

Toronto PD unlike most other Police departments do not conduct fingerprinting for RCMP when it comes to immigration purposes so you will have to go to one of the accredited fingerprinting services around you. The list of private services available in your area are listed on RCMP's website. One of the electronic fingerprinting services accredited by RCMP I just found on their website is:

National Pardon Centre
#1503 – 2 Carlton Street
Toronto, ON M5B 1J3

Hope that answers your question. Good luck

Once you get MR, you should discuss it with your medical doctor, I am pretty sure they handle this type of case often. Also you can send explanation letter to CIC stating your condition. They may differ or extend the deadline for your wife.

thanks kama421 and goulden for your advises. Let me see how things work out for us.

Hi I've just joined this forum. My timeline below:

Application sent July 13th
Application received July 18th
AOR sept 22nd
RCMP request January 29th
Medical request March 28th
Medical done April 1st
Rprf paid April 1st (up front)

As I am a uk applicant, I understand I will not need to send passport? so my next stags is COPR.

Hi guys,

I have a question. So does everybody get passport request or only those who don't currently hold Canadian visa?
I am asking because I live in Canada and I already have active visa. Will they request my passport?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

You will receive a passport request for issuing immigrant visa, the current one you have on your passport is temporary resident visa.

If you are a citizen of a visa exempt country there will be no passport request and you will directly receive the COPR (confirmation of permanent residence).

Hey everyone,

Got a question. It seems like a lot of people are getting requests for PCC. Now, I did submit my PCC from India and Canada when I applied on July 29, 2014 but, I got the PCC from India in May 2014 so it has almost been a year. I still haven't gotten my MR. You think I should request for another PCC beforehand from India just in case CIC decides to ask for one or should I just wait.

My main concern is that there is obviously going to be a date on the PCC for when it was issued and I don't know how CIC would interpret it if they notice that I actually applied and received a new PCC from India before they even asked for one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. ;D

You may not need it but it is always better to have it handy just in case you dont wanna waste time and be very responsive to CIC requests.

My passport has only name field and both first and last name are entered as FName LName. Though in PR application I entered it separately, in all CIC docs my first and last name are in family name column & given name is blank in my new BOWP and MR form.

Did anybody encounter this situation? And how to correct this with CIC?

Any advise would be appreciated!!!
