Gosh... Look at how stressed PR applications has got people to be. Previously I thought breathing was something called animal instinct, now I realized it's a privilege only after learning that PR application was acknowledged.

It is just an expression But yes it is stressfull

guys - should I wait for about a week before calling CIC if I'm not able to find my application status on ECAS?

I received my AOR on 9/13/14 and searching through UCI or Application # is not yielding any results on ECAS, yet!

Yes you should wait about a week after you received your AOR to see your ECAS status. You can't see it immediately.

Just one question, receiveing File number means that the forms are all complete or does it also mean that we meet the eligiblity criteria ( 12 months of valid exp within the 36 months..........)

I believe Sydney office only checks to make sure all necessary documents for the evaluation of the application is there then they send it to a visa office to evaluate the eligibility.
I applied once in 2012 under CEC with my research experience in university and even though I got File Number and AOR and waited for 1 year, I got rejected in 2013 and the officer's explanation was that my work experience was not eligible.

I did not write my family members name in my native language in family information application as it did not read the instruction properly.

Will it cause any delays in getting AOR?

I applied once in 2012 under CEC with my research experience in university and even though I got File Number and AOR and waited for 1 year, I got rejected in 2013 and the officer's explanation was that my work experience was not eligible.

Really? Why was it ineligible? Was it because the salary didn't meet the expectation? Or company too small? Or job duties not matching NOC?
