Similar situation: I've sent my original PCC along with my file, but I am also required to send my original RCMP. Should I first wait for them to ask for it, or can I send it to them now? I'd also sent a cover letter with my file stating that I'd send the RCMP as soon as I receive it myself. And could someone help us with the address, please?

Thank you.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you only have to send RCMP on request. You only need PCC from countries other than Canada that you've lived in for 6+ months. I have the CEC application guide printed out at work and once the RCMP requests started coming in I checked that this was the case and it said that there. Does anyone have information saying otherwise?

Hi,
there's not such requirement as RCMP clearance. Just wait and send your RCMP when you get a request from CIC. There's a chance you'll not need it. If you decide to send it, find the address above in my previous message.

You should wait for them. If they ask for it, send it over. They clearly mentioned in the AOR that do not send any documents unless you are asked to send anything.

Regards,

Thank you nov1061 and krishg. I've decided to wait.

I suppose we had to submit both: RCMP and PCC. As far as I know, there wasn't any such rule of 6+ months anywhere.

On the document checklist form for CEC:

"You must get a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six months or more in a row since the age of 18."

In the application guide it says:

"These documents (PCC) are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18."

PCC required (mandatory)
RCMP not mandatory: Although it's not required the CIC may ask an applicant later to provide it.

Hey guys looks like the MR Requests have slowed down over the board.

Nobody from July has yet received anything as well. Wonder what CIC is doing?? :P

Hi Anybody in this forum applied under CEC after that PGWP(International student). Most of the people i have seen in this forum did not having PGWP and they are either on LMO or ICT.

The reason for that is to know whats the progess with PGWP CEC applications.

I have PGWP but so far I know all CEC application treat as same, it does not matter whether you have PGWP or not.
