I got my MR request today. I am worried about my weight . I reduced it to a certain extent but still my bmi is 32.
All those people who have cleared the medical please suggest whether bmi is a criteria for rejection

All i know is that my file has been transferred to NDVO. In early Oct I sent an email to CIC NS Sydney asking for the status of my application. To which they replied in mid Dec14 saying "your file has been transferred to Delhi and CIC NS Sydney cannot make any more comments". Needless to say in between this wait period I had received PER.

What to do?

I am 3rd july applicant, per date- 29 oct (initially applied alone and wife was going to accompany later), I was also in same state till yesterday....no mr or second line update..but yesterday I received a letter from ndvo asking me to deposit my wife's fees ( in reply to my interest of adding my wife now) I think they are working on all applications may be background check or any miscellaneous reason is behind this delay...ive paid the fees now....dnt know how long I have to wait for MR now....

hello friends, am new to this board. july 22 nd applicant.visa office is new delhi.. have been an silent reader quite long....all the infos posted here were very useful and even helped...

kindly help me out in the following query:

i got my medical req on jan 20th. as am pregnant now and since it is 6th month my gyno and the panel physician accepted to go ahead with medical test which includes x ray as well....so am gonna do it by next week...

my query here is should i inform the visa office or cic regarding child birth now itself or after the child birth?(my delivery wud be in may).

also if i shud then where to inform about the child birth.... kindly help me out...

Hi there.

I think X ray report from MR will reflect the pregnancy status. I feel better time would be to inform when the child is born. Any way its no harm if you want to inform now. In that case, you can use the link VO presented in your AOR letter can be used to inform any material changes in your status.

PER is positive determination of elgibility and the email comes with UCI number as well as with file no.

AOR on the other hand, is a mere notification by your local VO that your file is now transferred from CIO to local VO. More interesting is that some VOs like NDVO does not send the AOR. So after PER, it is direct second line updation and then MR.

In 99% cases, interview is before the MR. Never know those 1% mysterious cases.

HAS ANYONE DONE UPFRONT MEDICAL FROM USA OR OTHER COUNTRY? WILL IT HAVE ANY NEGATIVE IMPACT ON MY FILE IF I GO FOR UPFRONT MEDICAL WITHOUT VISA OFFICE ASKING ME FOR MEDICAL. MY OBJECTIVE IS TO SAVE PROCESSING TIME AS I SEE NO ACTIVITY ON MY FILE AFTER PER.
