In my case it took 2 months and 15 days .... to get response... So just mediate and wait ;).. i know , we cannot do anything to fasten the process , its very stressful waiting .

hi krishna, may i ask you about the police clearance? did they ask you to get police clearance only from singapore? or all countries you lived in? thank you for your help.

All the countries , you have lived for more than 6 months.

For singapore they will sent a letter , you need to take that to get the PCC.. Each country go their own way of providing PCC..

The one coming from Singapore Police, will the police report/clearance be sent by the police department to the address stated in the CIC Singapore's letter? or collect it by ourselves and submit to CIC office? If it's the first case, they might send it to my representative's address which is in Canada. This might even slow down the process for me. Thanks.

The request from CIC Will be sent to your Lawyer direectly. They will revert back , its usually sent as an email , so at the max one day... The letter to the Singapore PCC will have the request to issue PCC , Singapore police take 3 weeks to revert back with the certificate. They request you to collect it personally and submit it to the CIC.

Thank you. I lived in the United States for 3 years so that's another thing for me. :(

Did they ask you to go for medical exam?

Apologies for the questions. :)

Please feel free to ask questions , that way it will be useful for other people as well..

No medicals for me. It depends on the country u lived in the past.

If you lived in usa , then u need to have PCC from usa as well.. I lived in 3 countires , so I am getting that 2....

Hi, Guys! Heard that the embassy in manila is moving already, i hope our side will moved too... Good luck

Singapore is not one of the 15 offices which are significantly affected by the strike...i guess somehow it also has an impact...hope we hear something real soon!

But , when i look at the way they are processing , its extremely slowwww..... To get PCC request , after 6 weeks is a long wait..

Also ,we dont know who much of extra load Singapore is taking because of the strike.

Happy to share , got my visa and stamped on entry on the 7th Oct 2013.

In Canada , now. Once the strike got called off the processing started to happen fast.
