I spoke to CIC call agent once and got frustrated by their answer. I wish I could talked to someone friendly there...

One in every 4 (25%) of people that I have spoken to has been nice, sincere and helpful. Some have been downright racist pricks.

FYI, When my In process line disappeared, I called CIC after 15 days since it disappeared, CIC Call centre agent told me that my file has not been transferred yet but they told me my local visa office, (I believe as per my address it was suppose to be transferred to my local visa office). Within a total of 25 days since my received by visa office line, I got the test notification.

Good luck

Well thanks for the info, but I am not quite clear on what you are saying. Do I need to wait for my in process line to disappear before I can assume they are setting a date for the test?

Is there REALLY any correlation between "received" disappearance and test dates?

Once your received by visa office line disappears, give it 20-30 calendar days and you should hear from your local office.

When Received by visa office line disappears, that means you file is/has been/or is transferred to local visa office. It is a matter of practise how CIC agent updates the records. All the files are electronically sent to local visa office. I have seen my file so I know.

Once the received by visa office line disappears, give it 20-30 calendar days and you should hear from your local visa office.
