If you have received the PPR then you have to mail your passport to CIC first, before you can complete
the landing.
But I think you were going to say that you've received the CoPR, right?? In that case you can go ahead and
complete the landing.

I don't think you will be able to complete the landing at an airport without actually flying into Canada.

Hi Toby, yes sorry i meant CoPR... im actually going on vacation this weekend and i noticed in the instruction that came with the CoPR was stated "A port of entry is a border crossing or an international airport", so i hope that means i can come back from my vacation and do the landing there at the airport?

Yes, you may complete the landing at an airport if you arrive in Canada by an airplane.

Correct.

Hello Guys,
I wanted to plan a trip to America, I have a visitors VISA for America and a COPR for Canada, I will be traveling by car. Will it be possible to re-enter Canada with just my COPR attached to my passport?

Please advice.

Yes, you can enter Canada at a land crossing with the CoPR.

Most welcome. And here's the FAQ from CIC.

That link helped a lot. Thank you!

Hi Guys, got my PPR today in the mail (never received an email tho)
Next step - Landing :D
Don't give up hope and check your mail...

Question: Is it possible to do a landing at the airport? or does it have to be a land crossing?

If you got PPR mail today, then u have to send your passport first to CIC,then they will send back with visa stamp and copr. with that only you can do landing.

how come you got both PPR and COPR on same day?

What he meant was that he received COPR (only) no PPR. He's from visa exempt country.

Hi Can someone help me out with this please I am really confused...
I did 2 years program (Business marketing) in Sheridan college. I been working in Pivotal payments since October and I am planning to apply my PR in October 2014.
Basically what I do is I sell merchant services (debit and credit machines, Virtual terminals and E-commerce solutions)
I looked at two noc codes 1st is 6221 technical sales executive (duties are same what I do exactly but I am confused selling merchants services fall in technical sales or no but duties are exactly same) and moreover my VP says that it is technical sale.
2nd one is Noc 6235 Financial sales rep (Merchant services specialist -Financial) This is what I exactly do but job duties are half same half different.
can someone let me know if I can apply in one of these NOC codes or if not what noc code I can look at
And does my study has to match with my job ( I heard it doesn't have to be )
Thank you

Hi Alex,

Yes, our situation is exactly the same. It is very interesting that you were asked to provide your CV+Pub list and RPRF on a same day. I thought they asked me for CV to review my eligibility! However, we have to live our life and focus on our job without thinking about PR (which is difficult). As, I'm Iranian passport holder, I could expect this long time waiting for security background check. Would you mind to share you nationality?

Regards,

Well, I am in the same boat then but I am from Iraq. As you said, it is the criminality background check, we can't help it and all what we need to do is just wait :/
Good luck mate!
