hey Guys,

I recently got my medical request, and I booked an appointment for tomorrow. However, I was wondering if someone can give me a breakdown of what happens next, along with the approximate timeline.

thanks
amogh

Sorry, editing my previous message .. I thought you were asking what happens in the medical test.

Next steps for your application will be RPRF (Right To Permanent Residency Fee), Biodata request ... and lastly PPR (passport request). Assuming all goes well. I'm in the same situation.

What is your eCAS status right now ? "App Received" or "In Process" ?

Still "Application Received"

I see. If CIC has already associated your upfront medicals with your App, you might directly get the RPRF/Biodata request. I read about some case where this happened.

I have the same timeline as you and haven't received the RPRF/Biodata request yet.

I hope so .. Good luck to all of us :) :)

We already see the light at the end of the tunnel :)

Status: Application Received

Sir, I am a July 5th applicant still no MR........you are in a much better position than me......so relax....!!!

I saw that after 27 July only one person got MR. I think they are still working on last week of July application. Hope everything will be fine for all of US.

Hey! Look at that! ...passport requests started to fall. :) Visa exempt countries applicants, if approved, will just receive COPR by mail i think. Normal mail that is, not email.

what if an applicant already has a valid worker visa ? Does s/he still have to submit the passport for entry into Canada once PR is approved ?

rprf and biodata sent! hopefully all goes well!

Once your PR is approved i don't see any reason to submit your/his/her passport again. On the other hand, if you are still waiting for PR to be approved and you are residing inside Canada, you already have a permit. That said you will probably get COPR in your mail box (no PPR), go to a border with your passport and COPR, make "U turn" or flagpoling and become PR of Canada. Thank you for the question but my answer is more like an opinion so not 100% :)

But maybe other guys here have stronger knowledge about it.

Thanks! Sorry, I meant waiting for PR, not after PR is approved. I fall in this situation where I already have a worker visa which is valid till next year. I wonder If I should inform CIC of this beforehand.

Does anyone know for certain or has been in a similar situation ?
