Hi delorean,
I'm sorry to hear that. But I think BOWP applies only for Temporay Residents who are leaving in Canada. But I may be wrong. Seniors can give more insight about this issue.
Good luck

It was the reason why I asked if there was any file number in that e-mail. Without the file number it is had to accept it as AOR

We did a flag pole today. Officer didn't accept a email from CIC as a AOR. He didn't only refuse us a new work permit, but he took our old permits and give us a visitor status for only two weeks. Too often I have a felling that I come to third world country. We don't know what to do.

Hi delorean88,

I'm sorry to hear that. As far as I know for BOWP you should submit your application onilne or send the paper to Alberta and then they send you the work permit by Canada post. Flag pole ( or kind of entry to Canada) need a valid VISA only (PR or tomporary). The immigration officer at the boarder will not accept any other paper work (ie, AOR,...). I think the officer even had right to not let you come back to Canada if you didn't have visa.

Regards,

BOWP is a little different process than a "regular" OWP, Flagpole give you a WP if you already have it granted (a letter from Canada telling you that) or a positive LMO for a Closed WP. Was your old Wp still valid? What was the expiration date on it? Now I will suggest you to stay positive, look for legal assistance ASAP and see if it is possible to do something about.(like get a longer visitor permit)
The most important think is that you have AOR, that means your application for PR will be considered as it seems to be complete, don't do anything that can jeopardize that, if you have to leave, leave if you can't work don't work. Good luck in your process!

did someone from july 15 or later got their CC charged? I hope the tracking sheet is up to date.

looking different tracking sheets CC is being charged 10 to 18 (average) days before AOR I guess middle of July app will be charged by the end of Aug or beginning of Sep.

As some people (including me) may need to apply for BOWP in Sep; please see the following link to get the most updated information,

The tracking sheet has someone from 8th July charged on 14th Aug. Maybe there is no fixed pattern.

I think hwat i have heard and seen from the trend of trackitt applications,
August is a bit slow for applicants as most of the Canadian workers go on vacation and offices are usually half the strength.

The positive news is applicants from Feb abd Mar-2013 have started getting medical requests now.

So July 2013 applicants can expect MR by Feb 2014.

The tracker link provided is not working for me. Do i need to follow any special instructions to open this link.

No you just click on it and the google spreadsheet should open up...
Maybe try again?
