Thank you. It's says on Cic site that you must be currently in Canada to obtain BOWP. Is that mean we can't make a flag pole to get a work permit?

What's flag pole?

A trip around the flagpole, as the term is used on the forum, means driving from a starting point in Canada to the Canada-USA border, turning around, and re-entering Canada so that you can have a visa issued and/or activated. This may be a permanent residence (PR) visa or a temporary work permit (TWP).

It's the procedure you would go through if you flew to Canada, landed at an airport, and went through the immigration procedure there. However, if you're already in Canada as a visitor when you receive approval for a PR visa or TWP, you have to create an artificial situation in which you enter Canada in order to get the necessary stamps, etc.

Thanks edm_cem for this detailed explanation. Having six different WPs, I have been through the process several times without knowing the term used to describ it.

I have added 1 column (CC charged), Please update all who got CC charged.

Hi Guys,

Would you please enter the date that you received your AOR instead of "AOR received"? It would help us.

Thank you.

The AOR Received column is empty now...did anyone really got it yet?

FROM trackitt..there seems to be no one in July who has received their AOR ...so someone just screwing around with the tracking sheet here is my guess!!

I don't know why people play around with the spreadsheets, it is really not funny!

Credit cards have been charged but no one has received any AORs as of yet!

Hopefully soon - Keeping all fingers crossed!

In the previous page, delorean88 suggested he/she got the AOR, is he/she from July?

Good evening guys,
A lot of the June applicants (the ones who's applications were received June 26th) have received their AORs today. Here's crossing our fingers for all of us.

Good luck people!

Amen! one day closer than yesterday!

Credit Card has NOT been charged yet. No update on ECAS. Application was received on the 4th of July. Am I to assume the file is likely being returned for being incomplete since some of the folks whose application was received later, has been processed?

Is there any reason for you to think your application will be returned (missing documents, signature, filling mistakes)?
If your answer is no, I don't think you have to assume that, On Aug 19th, applicants from june 26 receive AOR if they continue with the same speed you will be charged on your CC and receiving AOR next week (Jun 29th was Sat and it was the Canada Day Long weekend, so from the 28th its going to skip to July 2nd applicants). Lets hope for the best.
