Hi Awesome3,

Thanks.

1) Have been waiting for my PPR. Any idea from the experience Max how long this could take ?

Don't worry. Since you already received RPRF, that means your eligibility has passed. And if I were to speculate, since your medicals were updated on March 8th, and CIC hasn't requested any additional tests, we can assume that your medical results have passed as well. In my opinion, the only two things remaining are criminality and security.

Assuming you already submitted PCC from home country, only option is to wait and see. It is very hard to gauge how long it will take to get PPR. It depends on how long it will take for security/criminality to complete, which depends from applicant to applicant, and on how complex your case is. Be hopeful, PPR will come soon.

2) In generic application i had mentioned VO as new Delhi. Hence i hope by default once gets PPR, this file should get redirected to them for stamping? Is correct? Please correct me if i am wrong.

I'm not sure about this one. Hopefully, someone can help answer this question. But in any case, you can always request CIC to make arrangements to get your passport stamped at the New Delhi office. This can be done after you receive the PPR.

From the PPR email:

If you or any of your family members are residing outside North America and you are unable to send your/their passport(s) to Canada and/or to provide a return mailing address in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office.

Finally did my Landing today at Rainbow Bridge :)

Went to Niagara at 7pm today. Crossed the bridge by walking. The US side officer was fine with the flagpoling. He seemed pretty much familiar with the term. Didn't had to explain much. After having the Administrative Refusal walked back to the Canadian side. The officer provided a yellow slip and directed us to the Immigration office. The officer took the CoPR and Passport and asked for an address proof (I provided Driver's Licence). That's it. After 10 min he called us and asked to sign the CoPR and told that the card will take 4-8 wks to arrive. Then we were done.
Came out so happy :) Finally one year of tension had come to an end.

Thanks to all here. I simply couldn't do that much without this forum. Awesome !

You will be asked to submit the Passport in Ottawa even though you mentioned new Delhi. You have to request CIC for stamping in new delhi once you get PPR, because as per Indian law you cannot send the passport out of the country without you.

My ECAS still shows "IN PROCESS" :o :o

My medicals were completed one week back and today I recieved my PP request.
But ECAS still has not got updated.

How long does it generally take ?
Do I need to wait for PP submission till ECAS gets updated ??

Thanks for all the help in the forum

Okay, people: done my landing March 25, 2014 in Peace Arch border in BC with car. No problems whatsoever; flagpoling some questioning (what, why, status) on the re-entry, sent to an office, nice young lady took 5 minutes to make me PR officially --> happy new PR :)

didn't get a small Canadian flag though, darn

timeline:
application received July 5, 2013
RPRF + medic request February 21, 2014
medic done March 4, 2014
status changed "decision made" + medical received March 16, 2014
CoPR received March 24, 2014 (visa exempt)
landing March 25, 2014

good luck to all

I think ECAS is not reliable now a days. You don't need to wait for PP submission.
