Is AOR issued by CIO or the Immigration office (like CPP-O)?
I think there would still be some delay in the Immigration office (like CPP-O where they might have backlog due to Buffalo closure)
Is that correct?

Can each of you please share which processing office you have chosen - CPP-O or other? I think we should track that too as it could have a bearing on processing times beyond AOR.

My application reached Sydney on 24th July. Good Luck everybody.

This is an amazing thread. Let's hope the best for all of us. Thank you very much for all your efforts.

You can also track the application here: trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers . This is very helpful too.

CEC applications go only to Sudney, NovaScotia....It doesn't go to Buffalo.

Thanks guys! I'm sure all of you will receive good news soon.

A quick question, did any of you include notice of assessment from this year tax filing?

I missed the April deadline and I'm afraid CIC will ask for it.
So this weekend I have to get my tax done and send it to them asap.

Yes, I did include it.

Good idea- most likely they will ask for it. It was in the list of documents.

Congrats!

I also submitted mine at the end of July, still waiting. Is there a way to track this online if we have submitted it via a representative?

My documents were returned back, because the birth certificate (my Grade 10 passing certificate) I provided did not have my parent's name in it and the consulate letter I provided is not a valid proof as it is based on the passport. An affidavit would help, is what I have been told. I will be out of this thread now. All the best to the remaining July applicants.

Hi adddkd,

Sad to hear this. I too have the same issue. I guess I should also wait for my docs to be sent back.

One question though, how did CIC communicate that affidavit will help? Did they mail you?

Regards,
Ravi

Yes they did. Got a letter from CIC with the documents enclosed. The letter contained the following:
"Please note, we do not accept passports as proof of birth, therefore we are unable to accept details from passport. We do accept secondary school records that contain the following:
1. Applicant's Name
2. DOB
3. Name of Parent/Guardian
If you are unable to provide a BC or Sec. school records that indicate your DOB and parentage, please provide an affidavit that has the following information:
1. Name of client
2. DOB of client
3) Parents name (mother, father or both acceptable) "

Hope this helps.

sorry to hear that. when did they return it??? Did they charge ur credit card befor returning??

Sorry to hear that adddkd, seeing as you started our thread we'll keep you as our honorary July applicant member.

On the brighter side, my CC has been charged. The transaction hasn't been posted as of yet (it must have just happened), nor have i received an AOR.

ujbaby and all applicants received on or before July 16 check your cc details

Hi Folks,

I have almost the same problem except that I have sent my application on 26th July and has not been sent back yet.
My question to you guys is, should I send the additional documents or wait for them to send my documents back?

I haven't received a file number (AOR), so I don't know if I send a mail with these additional documents they will be able to co-relate it to my application now.

Thanks,
Ravi
