There is an expiry date for the PR visa, which is normally one year from the date of your medical examination. You have to land before that date.

OK, got it.

This means it's pretty much approved right?

Read online somewhere you can land at international airport, is that true?
Other than passport and COPR, proof of bank funds, what else do I need to bring when I land?

Don't think you can just go to an international airport and land. You have to be coming from another country to land at an airport. You can choose to land at your local CIC office (need appointment) or do flag pole at a Canada-US port of entry.

It would depend on where you are. In GTA most people go to the peace bridge or the rainbow bridge to do flag pole landing. If you want to land in CIC offices, here is a list:

Thanks for the info!
Do you have to land during the week or it could be on the weekend?
Also what's a flag pole landing?

Hey Congrats Pooky! Seems You are the first July'12 applicant to get PPR. :)

Can you please mention the dates when "you completed meds" and "meds received by CIC"?

Hi to all,

My husband has applied for PR on july 17 2012 under employee sponsor category. till now he did not get any response from cic.
Most of them here got Med request who applied after of our date. (Application filed to cpp-ottawa)

Please suggest us something. this waiting is killing us....

Google "flag pole landing", lots of information. You can do flag pole any time, but apparently weekday only for CIC offices.

I am in the same boat except self employed in Canada, from 10 May 2012, I contacted the MP and they contacted CIC and got me a response that I have to be patient that it will take a lot of years since it is not CEC, they said only CEC is fast. If you want to try something try the MP.
