Generally when someone uses the term "moron" around here they are referring to me.......

I think what is misunderstood is that if you can get married then conjugal would not apply to you. There would have to be real lasting reasons why you cannot marry beyond it being inconvenient or as a conscientious objector. Computergeek is the person to ask about this but I think your application under conjugal would be denied and it would be faster to go get married and reapply

I guess I am a moron and perhaps you missed understood what I was trying to get across. I often wonder why people are here to support one another. CIC refused my partner a tourist visa to come to Canada. That is why we applied conjugal a year ago. His father was dying with cancer last year and I did not think it was appropriate to have a wedding during a funeral. We are unable to live together because I have a 8 year old son in Canada. Conjugal is not only for fillipinos who can not get divorced and gay couples. We had immigration barriers at the time we applied and felt this was the way to apply. I have since gone back in May and we are just hopeful. Do you know if you have to re-submit if you get married?

I came to Canada from Hong Kong when I was 15 months old. I am very proud. I am surprised at my attck here and perhaps you don't relaize is that I am just like you, a human with feelings. Thanks for your support and I guess you don't realize that you are very hurtful... when you call some one a moron.

He said the STATEMENT was moronic. Not that YOU are a moron. Some people love to find offense where there is none. I think it is safe to say there are quite a few of us that are having a hard time understanding your position.

I guess every situation is unique and perhaps giving more details is unnecessary. Thanks for your help and I will let Rome be the ultimate decision maker. Take care and happy for those who have received your visas. Bless :) I am laughing now because it is kind of funny. The English language is fun ... Xoxoxo.

Why did they refuse you in the first place?

We have almost 10 years together :o ??? :(. >:( Seriously? Really? >:( :'(

Hi everybody... :)

I'm being called for interview on may 9th, hope everything should go well :)... I need encouragement and blessing :)

Plz update spreadsheet Bagel :)
Hello dear friend prithiv. Been thinking about you and wondering how your interview went? Have not seen you here for a long time. I hope and pray all went well. I am preparing for my appeal and waiting for the blue book which is a copy of the record from CIC. I then will return to the lawyer with this blue book and go from there. The lawyer wants to request an ADR( quick resolve) after I receive this blue book. I contacted the IAD (appeal division department) and they said this book will be mailed out on the 05th of July to my house. Hope to hear from you soon. Sending you positive thoughts xo :)

Thank you for the welcome Jenna! It all went so easily!! Basically there was noone in the immigration section so I went straight in and was greeted by a lovely man who signed my COPR, got me to sign it, then gave me a handbook and a pretty amusing "Immigrant" magazine (which had what I suspect was a newly landed immigrant woman on the front, who had a crazy look of thrill on her face and was holding a dollar sign?!), along with some pamphlets on numbers in Ontario, before processing my PR card at a different desk. This was all at Vancouver airport. I didn't need to worry anout the B and BA forms- they said to fill that out later when and if I had goods to follow. Whatev!
I spent an amazing five days in Vancouver and just got to Ottawa yesterday. Will find time to get my SIN and health care processed tomorrow. Unfortunately I will only be staying in Canada for another week and a half, then will be moving back more permanently around September. So unfortunately wont be able to update the Ss until I get access to a proper computer back in Australia!!

Double Rainbow- so glad to hear you are close to getting the blue book!!! I am sure they will process the ADR for you in no time! :D Thankyou Mrs. B xo :D :-* You were in Vancouver? Too bad I did not know as I live here. Maybe we could have chatted for a bit. Mind you I was probably working lol. Happy to know you had a nice visit here. I will let you know when I receive this blue book and an ADR or full hearing date letter from the IAD. I hope you will continue to be here to chat with us. Hey any word on prithiv and how the interview went in May? ::) Again thankyou for all of your help on here. You have been a shining star for all of us. XOXO :-* :D

Good luck to you, and congrats to all who have received their Visas already!!

I think you will be successful on your appeal. Ten years is pretty hard to fake.

Thankyou for your positive words xo :-* :D I know 10 years is a long time and yes hard to fake that. I hope you are right on being successful on our appeal. Most of the questions at hubby's interview were to do with dates of my surgeries in which he could not remember, nor can I for that matter without re visiting paperwork for. There have been so many surgery dates We only got married last May as I had breast cancer twice in these last 10 years and been having surgery since 2010 for the second time of breast cancer, but I am cancer free and this is all reconstruction surgeries. Next surgery coming up in early July. I think this is # 11 and smaller surgeries now. How is everything going for you? I hope very well :D

Everything is great thanks for asking.

It's hard to leave this forum once you have reached the end. So many stories I have read about and now feel compelled to stick around to see how they all work out.

Awwww you are most welcome xo :-* Yes, I can understand. I will be here afterwards as well. This forum is a part of my life now and it will continue to be. It has been a wonderful lifeline for me with a wealth of information. I just wished I found it sooner than I did, but non the less at least I found it and I am grateful and thankful to everyone here. God Bless all of you xo :-* :D

Wow what an incredible journey you have been through. And now with this immigration process, yet you continue to be one of the most positive people on this forum! I know you will be successful, and the appeal for this immigration will end up being just a bump in the road! I'm so glad to hear you are recovering. Wow, 11 surgeries. I will be thinking about you for the next one, and I hope it's one of the last you have to endure.

PS. Vancouver is so amazing. I flew in over the mountains and the weather was glorious. Would love to settle there but I know it would be harder for my fiance to find work, and it is further away from his family. We are just lucky to have super awesome friends their that can show us a good time when we visit.

Hope you are having a great Canada Day! xx

Hi Bagelbagel,

If you are still maintaining the spreadsheet, please update our status. Landed July 5, 2013 ! Woohoo! :) :P

:D Thankyou Mrs B I sure hope so. The ADR has to be granted after you request it. It will be either an ADR or a Full Hearing. ADR it is only me talking and maybe hubby not the lawyer. A full hearing it would be myself, hubby and our lawyer. They would do an hour conference call to hubby I believe. Have a wonderful day xo :-*

Awwwww Congrats :) I hope this day will come for hubby and I in the not too distant future. It will be a very emotional day for us. I would like to be with hubby when he gets his visa and fly home together. :D
