Hi Guys,

The weirdest issue has been cropped up in my case.

I am unable to get the reference letter from my current employer

I have written an explanation letter that y I am unable to provide the reference letter from current employer.

Main reason is to avoid risk of losing job if I request my HR to issue me a letter.

Pls advise if this is acceptable. Many thanks.

PS: I have my past employer's reference letters as per the requirement.

Have someone else from your work sign the letter, like a high ranking manager or your boss. I don;t think it has to be HR specifically as long as it is someone they could contact and who has enough authority and credibility to authorize such letter.

SOme one please reply, i am miling my app today

Per instructions in the checklist, they are requesting to include mailing lables along with the application package.
My question is, does the address in the mailing label have to match with the one of the address in the application forms?
Or, can the address on the label be a different one which I prefer to use in case they have to send me a mail?

In my specific case, i am residing in canada temporarily when i apply for the PR. HOwever, i am unsure where i may have to relocate for work in next few months.
So i just want to make sure i give a permanent address which in my case is India

brother , just put the address you live in now , you can always change your mailling address , phone no. any contact details buy simply notifying the CIC with any change in address ...etc

I'm from the Philippines, rao1122. We're on the same boat actually. Hehe. There's no latest news yet from the CIC but I can't afford to have my documents delivered a day after the cap becomes full. I believe, there will be no more substantial changes to our noc whenever new ministerial instruction comes. (I hope so)

Hi Grey (kabayan),

which courier? i have a consultant here in manila and they are using dhl, they say it takes 5-7 days, how true? because i had requested for a credential assessment before using DHL and it only took 3 days for my docus to reach canada.

hello guys, when is the best time to send application? our docs are ready just waiting for the new MI. under NOC 3012 here from saudi arabia..

Hi guys, what would you say about the pool policy for skilled worker mentioned by Kenny yesterday? Should we wait for two more days?

Mine as well, I just attached a letter of explanation and then i also attached a letter actually email from the company that they couldn't grant my request....I hope that it would be enough to satisfy CIC...let's pray for that :)

Oi, haha.. Kabayan, fsw4. There was, if I am right, a statement On the checklist for skilled worker provided by Manila VO that CIC has arranged an agreement with the DHL. This is my first time actually sending a document abroad. I have no idea on how other couriers do for transactions going to CIC. I hope that my documents will be delivered on time. According to "Manong", delivery time is estimated at 4 working days.

Hi,

This is a question I can't find answer to anywhere. Maybe one of the senior members will be able to assist me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any information which Visa Processing Center will be used now for the United States in lieu of Buffalo, U.S.A. office closing?

Thank you and good luck everyone.

NOCturnal, since the office in Buffalo has closed, the processing office for all applicants from US and Canada is Ottawa. Please refer to the CIC website.
