Hi There I am just wondering where that information came from? My understanding is that applications as processed based on the date they are received by the CIO. ie. you have to deliver them no earlier than July 1. I understand that the barcode is a form of identification and makes processing the application easier, not a way to determine when the form was validated. If this was the case there would be no reason why they would accept any supporting documents which were dated pre July 1, 2012. Please advise if this is concrete information or if you are just making this assumption..... many thanks, meishajoms said:Dear Almapal, You need to wait for the new rules. This year application form consist of a barcode which is included with the date of the application. So if you are filling the application before july 1st, may be your application will reject due to application date before the starting receiving date and your application will go to 2011 cap reached category. Because from this year immigration system is taking applications carefully than the previous. And they are good knowledgeable regarding the application date and hence the barcode system implemented in the application.

Usually,i guess that the number of Bar Codes are the function of your Family Size. For my family size of i counted 11 Bar Codes as at last July.nish said:hmm....i filled the generic form and then validated it.
It generated a Barcode. BUT, when i clicked the save/print option, the barcode design changed.
Please check the same. is your barcode after validation different from the one you get in print or after saving the page.
When i validate, the 1st Barcode contains 7 rows. but in the print it contains some 21 rows.
Do check and confirm guys.
Nish
Still wondering where people get there information from?i could recall that this Generic Application was updated on either 18th or 19th day of July,2011(i stand to be corrected).naeemwaqas said:ive been reading some comments.... ppl are saying that the barcode system will record wen your filled the form and if the date of filling is before 1st july then they CIC will consider it in the last year cap and reject it.
My question is this thing for real ... because it should matter wen we fill the form, what should matter is when the file reach the CIC office
i need experience ppl to comment on it ... ..,.,.,.,
