A bit of math here. I just went through the spread sheet for applicants after 26 June 2010. I found a total of 515 forum members in the spread sheet where as 13000/20000 were received last year by CIO. Looking at this I understand that less than 3% of the applicants are forum members. Now, I looked at applicants send in July 2011 spread sheet. I see about 70 forum members have sent out their applications which means the CIO could have roughly received 2333 applications. Only 3 cc charged out of 413 completed by CIO. Sorry, if I am confusing. Does this make any sense so far?
good job done NKKD; you are assuming the future based on trend...but its scary or persons like me (my app received on 26th july)... Dear keep up the research work; although it creates panic for persons like me.. ;D ;D ;D

With reference to the above discussion I would just like to share that I did not notarize all my documents. In fact, several documents of mine were just originals. I think westpoint is right about playing a safe game and sending all documents as notarized copies. However, many people do not have easy access to an office which can notarize documents / copies. I basically tried my best to send as many originals as possible, and the rest I sent simple copies. I couldn't find a suitable office to notarize my documents in time (I wanted to mail the package by 1st July).

Don't worry about it too much. So long as the immigration officer is convinced that your case is genuine and you are representing yourself accurately in your submissions you should be fine. If they require additional notarization or clarification, I believe they will ask you to provide the documents.

I have sent some original docs too with my previous application, but then when things didn't turn out positively i didn't get my docs back :( lesson learned: when you are securing documents especially original ones, get more than 1 copy ;)

Hello 1122khan11

b) Many of my fields were blank but none by mistake. For example, in the old forms (pre July 18th) there was a section on military service which I left completely empty. However I don't think I missed any information which I needed to provide.

I just like to share that when i filled them up, instead of leaving them some questions just blank i wrote N/A

c) From what I know, the employer verification process is not a MUST. In other words, they will only contact your employer if they feel the need to verify your information.

i agree, if immigration officer feels he needs to make verifcation to satisfy whatever criteria they're looking at, then they will do some verifications. i also read that if i am not mistaken in the op6 i think?

d) I provided my university transcripts in sealed envelopes as mailed to me by my university. I included a regular (non-notarized) copy of my Bachelor's degree diploma as well as other non-notarized copies of certificates for courses I have completed recently.

same here

Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Hi everyone!

Is UCI and immigration file number the same??? Filling up new form and it says that we applied before we should have a UCI. I checked our letter it only say immigration file number and it is alpha-numeric with 9 digits unlike UCI which only has 8 digits. Should I just leave it blank??? Help!!! :'(

maybe if u write that number they'll be able to figure out that it's immig file # and not UCI? UCI i think stands for unique client identification, it's the no. they give ur application when it passes completeness test. immig file # is the no. that your vo gives you...but i stand to be corrected, it's just my own understanding of those numbers.

Hi everyone!

Need to confirm, for the Fee payent form: if we pay with Bank draft, do we put the bank's name on the box that say Name of payer if different from the principal applicant or de we keep it blank????

name of payer should be the principal applicant not the bank. do not leave it blank.

I don't think you need to be afraid of leaving a question blank if it is not relevant to your case.

Remember, the immigration officers are not like examiners. They don't penalize you for all your mistakes.

Penalizing an applicant for leaving a non-applicable field blank is too harsh, especially for a Canadian society which wishes to encourage immigration of skilled individuals.

Don't get too stressed! Good luck!

two thumbs up for you forcabarca86 ;D

this immigration journey could drive us insane see? we become so stressed out even with the minute details of filling up forms and i guess it's true for most of us. the only thing we could do now if our docs are with CIO already is to relax, keep calm, pray and accept our faith. if things don't turn out positively for us, well it doesnt mean the door for immigration is already closed? the good thing is we can always apply again and again and again. ;D ;D ;D
