some agencies arent knowledgeable abt CIC procedures, a lot of them are there just for profit, i have been a victim of it not just once....for me the lesson i learned was: read CIC website, keep tab of their updates, read all procedures, carefully examine your documents against their requirements and make a truthful presentation of your qualification by yourself...when u do this, you can discard of your agency, save money and save from headache :

I called the agency now and they told me its okay cause I have submitted
a contract and wrote the annual compensation in my JD..really anxious about this one
I hope that our BD will be charged already to know the acknowledgement of cic re:
the completeness of our files .. wheeeww...

I think mine was a BD..I bought it in a bank..its written in cheque bank with
canadian dollars fee..

which one is faster CC or BD? really just hoping that our BD will be charged to
relieve us from anxiety..

Thanks for all the reply regarding my proof of funds question. Am I correct to assume that there is no way for them to check your accounts? Remember banks usually do not divulge information about their clients. Only thing we are sending them are certifications, not an authority to look into our accounts. I hope somebody can give their opinion on this.

do not be in am impression that banks wont give information. my mother is in nationalised bank in india and she told me that many govt agencies including embasy calls bank for account information. and banks have to give them.

CIC has updated the numbers of complete applications received so far.

1122 is currently at 52. Way below what we were all thinking. I guess they mean actual complete applications after the completion check.

Between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, a maximum of 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame.

These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment (job offer).

Hi, can anybody pls. confirm me if validating the new imm 0008 form is mandatory? I mean, if someone is applying under FSW category he cannot answer question regarding "when did you apply for CSQ", because it is not applicable for FSW and if you don't answer this question, the form will not be validated & the barcode will not be generated. What to do then?

please update in the spreadsheet that my application was recieved by cic on 21st july and was signed by mike.

Happy to hear the nr of accepted application are way below our cap for NOC 1122. My docs are still on its way to the CIO. last I checked its in transit and being processed at OHIO, USA from HONGKONG.. I hope my package finally gets to the CIO next week.. And Im positive those who will apply the whole of July will make it to the cap.

Who must fill out this application form?

This form must be completed by:
•You, the principal applicant on behalf of each of your dependant

my question now is who signs for it : the PA or the dependent concerned?
Or should i base it on the declaration of the applicant that they will be the one to sign? :

the instructions are kinda confusing for me...your advise and thoughts about this is highly appreciated. thanks!

From the updated guide notes:

"If you have more than five (5) family members, you must complete the Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) form for each additional family member in order to include everyone in your application.

Important
You must list all family members in your application for permanent residence, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not. You must also provide details on family members whose location is unknown (including those missing or presumed dead). If you don‟t, you will not be able to sponsor family members at a later date if they are not listed on your application."

Hi,

It is only completed in case you have more than 5 family members..the principal applicant fills up the form and signs it..not the dependents.. hope it clarifies everything ;D

Hi,

This question will not be highlighted,meaning it will not enable you to answer since you really didn't apply for Quebec, this happens when you answer the form electronically which is a MUST since the 2D barcode is generated only thru this method. Then after filling up the form correctly, validate the document and print it, afterwards just write (using a black ink) N/A on questions not answered, it is still stated on the instruction guidelines to write N/A to prevent it from falling into the incomplete data..
