Dear Haytham,

First of all congrats for your PPR, wish you all the best for the rest of your application process.

I saw in your timeline you mentioed the Interview Waived, I have 2 questions:
1- Will VO inform us in writting that the interview is waived or its only perception of ours,
2- Till which stage of application process there might be possibility of interview,

I would appreciate if you responde to my queries,

Thanks aba2011

If the interview is waived (about 80% of Immigration and Refugee Protection Act cases) the selection decision is positive but the selection points are reset to 0.

I didnt get your point. Sorry again asking, how we can know this markings, will be mentioned somewhere or we will be informed in writing?

In the reply to an CSE which I sent to LVO, it was mentioned that I have passed the selection criteria, is this related to what you said before?

in 80% of the cases, interview is generally waived. and any VO can ask for an interview at any stage of the application but general perception through experience is, it [interview] usually happens before medicals. I didn't get MR so I couldn't tell for sure whether there's any indication in the MR that interview is waived or not. my last post was a copy paste from cic.gc.ca website.

hope it helps!!

Morning All,

I have checked our ECAS this morning to find it has changed to "Decision Made"!! But nothing to say Positive or Negative, OMFG it's what we have been waiting for but now concerned if it's negative!!

Has anyone else received the "DECISION MADE" before PPR?

Regards

hiiiii Friends :) :) :) :) :)
it has been a long time to see u guys. first of all congratulations to all those who got MR/PPR/VISA.

i was busy with the landing preparations and then landed at 19 june at vancouver international airport under wonderful weather conditions. i used British airways, its cheap and best. excellent take off and landing experience with BA. custom check took half an hour. after that 1 hour to complete immigration process.

Nobody asked about proof of funds and cash with me. they only asked few people about cash in hand.(nothing importance). Nobody ask goods accompanying list, only required is goods to follow list.

Life is pretty fast in canada but its enjoyable once u have a job in hand. its difficult to find your first job but for the skilled people like all of you its a bit easier although it will take some time to be in your profession.

for the people going to land here, donot bring any grocery items with you its very cheap here. utensils, electronic accessories, and cloths are expensive here. Bring your driving licence from your home country (it will shorten the process of obtaining DL in canada).

for the people with kids, try to leave your kids at your home country for some time if you can, it will be easier to settle down here without kids during initial time.

Rest everything is so organised here, you will be excited to see the system run by Govt.

My best wishes to all of you for your respective next step. you people are free to ask any question. i will try my best to answer.
