1) I am mot sure about NDVO's process. For LVO I have enclosed with the passport a self addressed envelop that they used to send PPs back.
2) any country is fine as long as it is with an approved centre. I prefer to do them in the country that I spend more time in as I will be able to follow up further tests if requested (i hope that you won't need that) at the same medical centre.

Hope this answers your questions,

Thank you so much I'm going to do that because I know CIC will not send passport put of the country.

One more question do they send passport in registered post I'm asking this because I won't be available to sign the letter. Can my father sign the post for me?

Hello guys and gals!

I've just received PPR and wanted to thank everyone on this forum for the contribution they gave(and still giving).
I know I didn't subscribe from the beginning, but since the fiasco with the previous application I felt like I was going to jinx it with the regular updates, so I decided to go silent. What a superstitious fool, I know, but with so much in stake, one easily becomes irrational.
Anyways, this community here gave me precious info through the whole process so I wanted to express my gratitude towards it.

Here is my timeline:
FSW1 - NOC 7216 / Vienna office
applied 12.09.2011.
PER 12.12.2011.
Medical 30.01.2012.(date on the letter is 20.01.2012.)
PPR 16.03.2012.
(date format is dd.mm.yyyy ;))

That's an awesome news. And you are lucky one, having fast processing. Good luck in stamping as well. Many many congrats. And be a regular participant so that others can get benefited from your experiences as well.

Good luck for your future life in Canada.

I THNK IT DOESNT MATTER FROM WHERE U DO UR MEDICALS

WHRE ARE U LOCATED IN USA

Hi I'm in Indiana

Great info...

There are outlet malls in Toronto and probably elsewhere where you can get cheaper clothes...for example a pair of Levis at one such outlet mall (Dixie) will cost $40-$45.

If someone is just starting their life in Canada and want to really save and dont mind using second hand clothes (I beleive in recycling) then Goodwill shops are really good. You can find really good stuff and a fraction of cost.

There are cheaper options available. At Spadina, you can buy really cheap casual clothes and fruits and vegs. Weekly farmers market are also good options to buy fruits and vegs that would cost less than supermarket.

Hope this is helpful.

Yes they send it by regular speed post.

To be on the safer side, I think you could give your dad an authorisation letter, authorising him to collect the package on your behalf and also remember to endorse your dad's signature on the letter itself.
