Hi Friends,

Following is what it says on PPR. I am confuse with (old & new) passport. Is that mean the expired passport ? I have 1 expired one and the 1 renewed one. Do I have to send both?

- Valid passport or travel document yourself and Spouse/Common-law partner. Kindly
provide us with all the passports (old & new) after completion of all the pending
requirements. This must be received at this office by: xx/xx/xxxx

Looking forward to get some reply who knows of these situation.

Chintu.

Hello everyone,

No new update from my side after over a month of completing medicals, RPRF encashed last week.

Also I would like to politely request everyone to refrain from making/commenting on posts laced with religious fervor.

Thanks.

Wow...you are a goldmine of information Big Bro. Thanks yet again. Yes I shall discuss this with my hubby and make sure we are covered. Don't want to run all our money down on medicals (if an emergency shows up!).

Thanks for adding to my "achievements" ;)

Some short term insurance costs ( 3 months until you get OHIP coverage) I checked were steeply priced but there's no other option, have to buy one.

Congrats on getting PER and welcome on aboard.

Now. to your questions,
If your visa office is new delhi then you should wait RPRF/MR/PPR next. if you belong to any other visa office then you should wait RPRF/MR.

And it is advised that if you have changes in address and/or job and/or marital status and/or birth of new baby or death (God forbids). You must inform your visa office ASAP with updated documents.

Hope it solves your problem now.

Note:

MR= Medical Request
RPRF = Right of Permanent Resident Fee
PPR = Passport request.

Brilliant post!!!!

This 168 hours ban is annoying! Anyway +1 here!

I was thinking I will have to start off a new life without friends and family...but in this thread I found them all. And with friends and family comes all this responsibility. Look for brides, patch up BFs and GFs, arrange for baby showers....phewwww......but I am not complaning :) I love these kind of responsibilities, I thrive on them actually ;) and you sure are on the list my buddy!

It costs around $800 for a family of four for a period of 3-4 months . Check http://www.settlement.org/sys/faqs_detail.asp?faq_id=4001254

I personally don't think its a big issue. There might be people who have even misplaced their old passports (that are not valid anymore), in which case only the new valid passport would be available. The only hitch I see here is that they might take a slightly longer time to process your security check etc. No big deal at all, I would think.

Friends....do comment on this please!

Somebody really hates me here. I was negged for showing up today after a long & inevitable break that I took. The neggers really dampen the helpful spirit the forumers are blessed with.
