Hi YH, mang, and other senior members,

Seems I'm really getting impatient now for my MR...similar applications received dates around my dates have started getting MR...just wanted to take ytour advise if this is the right time to call up NDVO or CIO to check the status ? will this help ? if yes shud I call NDVO or CIO ?

Abhi

Hello Abhi, please check the spreadsheet and you will find that there are MANY friends before you from NDVO who haven't got thier MR yet. Take for example RKC, whose MR I am keenly waiting for. So, you needn't fret at all. You are well within limits as far as I can see from the spreadsheet. Go through it yourself. You'll get some relief.

You beat the CAP, you got your PER, now its only a matter of time, you will be in our dreamland. Cheer up :-)

And one more thing to add. In the beginning of MI-2, the CIO would accept only preliminary documents for processing. However, around Nov-Dec 2010 they directed the new applicants to submit application with full document package (same as current practice).

Thank you for sharing your experience with us Optimist2222.

OH I wasnt aware of this change in between. I know what they had started out with. Nevertheless they still followed the VO Specific cheklist till the very end. That I am sure about.

Ovais will bring news from the other thread. Lets see what's in there.

Thanks YH, yea I agree....though days are passing like months now..and weeks like yearsssss...Oops...reminds me of our college romance days :P

Yes you are right Your Highness. The Visa Office specific checklist continued till the end (i.e. June 30, 2011)

haha! how true!

highness i got one reply on the june thread.
the wording was the same. so MI2 and MI3 are treated in the same way.

Bbhandari,

It is just a file number i guess, i still havent got the exact paper from my agent so i cant check it yet. By the way what is PER? Im sorry im just new with this kind of stuffs, only i was told about the file number then we shall wait for the request for the medical next.

I think there is difference. Only preliminary application forms (without full supporting docs) and original IELTS were checked initially in MI-2. That means that the documents of those earlier applications were checked at the Visa Office. So we can conclude that if the applications were submitted before Nov-Dec 2010, it is very likely that the real assessment was made at the Visa Office and not at CIO. Later on after Nov 2010 when full application packages (along with all the documents) were sent, the CIO started full assessment (and final too).

By the grace of Almighty Allah, I received my PER Alhamdulillah :)
Admins, turn me green!!!!! DD encashment date is 5.12 2011

Congratulations now!another great news!

there is one more thing on which i wud like to have an opinion of the forum friends.
we have seen a couple of cases where NER has been overturned into PER when the applicant felt tht they have been dealt unfairly.
so at VO stage the applicant will still have this right. infact he/she should have a greater right to contest the decision in case it is unfavorable.

moreover murtazaH was june 2011 applicant.

one of the was LVO and the other was manila.
i am wondering what is the exact wording of PER letter for Pre July 2011 wording. does it contains the same wording 'positive final determination of eligibility' like ours? or was it different.
i was under the impression tht VO cannot override eligibility assessment unless there is fraud or misrepresentation. i dont know where the have deducted the points from MurtazaH. in this is a fresh case.
regards

After getting PER, I asked my consultant if there's still a chance of rejection at Visa Office?

She answered, "yes, because VO will review all documents if it really pass the selection criteria including the background check!" :(

I just find it unfair for those rejected applicants, because from what i know...they won't get their full refund or none at all.

I wish my consultant's answer was a big mistake....Now, I'm so confused of what PER really means??? ??? Does it mean initial review is done by CIO and 2nd review by VO?

Pls. enlighten me.

well dentista dont feel so depressed. PER is a big milestone. if u have case preassessed and there is not misrepresentation be sure tht ur application will go through.
keep in touch. best of luck.

N one more thing i got my PER on the same day as urs. u r lucky in sense tht u know tht ur case is RBVO. i dont know why but they r not sending 2nd AOR to LVO applicants. so we have no way of knowing if the file is VO or not. this is trully very frustrating. God Bless u!
