To add to the jitter, I've been requested for an interview on January 26. The embassy is asking for documents showing my relation to my declared relative in Canada (which I already sent with my application but it was on late registration since the originals burned down during the Japanese occupation. Yes, my uncle is quite old.). And also they asked to bring other documents to prove my employment. oof.

Good luck with the interview butetebetlog, you needn't worry as long as everything is genuine, gather enough evidence to prove your adaptability & work experience. At least now you know they are processing your file , have decided the next step & it's not gathering dust. Your MR will be sent out immediately after you clear the interview. Keep your cool.

What's your CAS status details at this point ? Please share.

Hello Your Royal Highness. Not much happening on my side of the world. I have gotten tired of expecting any kind of update at all. But I do read the forum entries everyday. I am glad to see people getting PERs, AORs, fee charges. Some even got their MRs already. That's really good.

Other than the "we started processing your application last November 16" added to my ecas status, I have nothing else to report for the month of November, and so far, none for December to date.

I only write when the subject of chimneys come up. Nowadays, only talk of chimneys excite me. hahaha

I have my gym bag with me. I was supposed to go to the gym. But I saw a coffee shop on the way and so I decided it's best that I eat cake and drink coffee instead. :P

Hi Alain , Good to see your post buddy .Please confirm if your CAS details say " We started processing..." OR " We reviewed & started processing....."

They (VO) have definitely opened your file but some checks still remain uncleared & so the delay in MR. You will have your MR soon after the checks are done .There's no way to know the concerned bottleneck except CAIPS notes as to why are they holding back MR or unless of course the VO asks for some additional docs or interview.

Your MR is slightly delayed but it will come so next time take a different route to the gym :P

hi butetebetlog,

how did you receive your letter of invitation for an interview? is it through snail mail or electronic mail?

Thanks :)

Everybody please post your CAS status & CAS status details here for the spreadsheet.

Thanks.

Hi RKC. It just reads "we started processing..." No references on any reviews being done. I guess it's going to take a while longer. I am very okay to do an interview, if necessary. I think interviews are the fastest way to get all open issues settled and closed. I have submitted 3-5 supporting documents for each job role that I've held in the last ten years, including tax and social security records . I was similarly comprehensive in detailing and providing evidence of my educational attainment. Where adaptability is concerned, I sent authenticated copies of my brother's birth certificate, and photocopies of my brother's PR card, landing records, lease agreement, and a couple of house bills. Right now, I don't have any idea what other docs the VO might ask. Maybe there's really just a lot of work and the VO people are struggling to get as much done. I am not complaining yet. It's just been 5 months. ;D

Alain you have provided them with a complete file in all respects. Simply the only reason that can be is what you just cited...too much of work at VO. For you it should be just a matter of time before MR. ;)

I hope you get your MR soon, too. I have a pretty good feeling NDVO is going to unleash a gazillion MRs at one time, soon.

I receivd it through email.

The embassy is asking for my Government Service Insurance contributions/records. Had I known, I should have sent it along with my application then. My consultant did not ask for it during that time.

Right now my ECAS is still the same. In Process and when I click on it it says:

"We received your application for permanent residence on July 6, 2011.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on September 21, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. "

Maybe tomorrow it will change when CIC website is updated.

Thanks!

Typically, they wouldn't be asking for GSIS contribution records. So, I wonder why they are asking for those now. I am sure those who have obtained their MRs as of today did not include GSIS or SSS records in their original application pack. How young are you? Have you had only one employer so far?

Anyway, it's good that you have your records all intact. It's just a bummer that processing will be delayed. On the other hand, it's good that you know those are the only issues identified, and that they are all surmountable.

Ya that's very typical of NDVO. Like how, May/June applicants were waiting over 3 months without a word & pretty recently almost all were sent MRs within few days. The problem is we wouldn't know they are processing July files unless the first MR shows up. I hope they don't press the 'snooze button' again.

My e-cas read as

"In Process"

when i click i see this

"We received your application for permanent residence on July 25, 2011."
