hello friends,

My application was received on 11th august 2011, anyone whose application received near 11august has got any information from CIO.

Regards

They were looking at 10th Aug applications on Friday. My guess is you should be hearing about your application on Monday. But has not the cap reached for 1122.

If number of applications showing CIC website is consists of only those applications which have received PER then why 500 applicants of NOC 1122 have not received PER till 20 of August because CIC announced cap of 1122 on 20 of August. On the other hand no body of 1122 received PER in August.

read this post from another thread of 1122. you will understand.

hey hello every1

I have applied under the NOC of 1122
it was received on JULY 20, 2011 when the update or count on the chart of CIC website was only 52 total applications received
but unfortunately i have just got the letter that the cap has been reached ........ can anyone tell whats the capped date originally is 22 august 2011.

I was so desperate but just heard this bad news.....

do anyone have any idea whats going on or whats ur application status????especially whose application was received prior to July 20, 2011

is the NOC number not included anymore in the label to be placed on the envelope?

thanks!

Guys, I got the email, "awaiting initial processing" too, but also got a new email yesterday saying that my app filed after the CAP REACHED. My app filed july 11th. So, everybody filed from that date onward will probably get their apps back too. End of the game for me this year, now lets just hope that next year the 1122 will still be on the list!

Thanks for everyone that helps this forum with infos!

It is not mandatory, but you can still write it down if you want to, it makes segregating the applications easier for them.

Hi all, slow weekends ! May be from tomorrow, some actions will be seen.

Hello guys, please comment on the below update by CIC on their website....

Total complete applications received since July 1, 2011

On July 1, 2011, the eligibility criteria for Federal Skilled Worker applicants changed.

Between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, a maximum of 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame.

Starting November 5, 2011, CIC will accept a total of 1,000 applications from international students who have completed at least two years of study towards a PhD and or who graduated from a Canadian PhD program in the 12 months before the date their application is received by CIC. Find out more about eligibility for this category or see the number of applications received to date on this site.

These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment (job offer).

Applications received toward the overall cap: 2,983 of 10,000 as of October 31, 2011

Applications received per eligible occupation:

*The number of complete Federal Skilled Worker applications received as of October 31, 2011 is approximate.

**Once the cap has been reached, we can only accept applications for this occupation from people with an existing offer of arranged employment.

Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, the CIO cannot review each application for completeness on the same day it arrives at the office. The numbers on this page are updated at least once a week, but these figures are meant as a guide only. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap by the time it reaches the CIO. We are looking into ways to minimize the effect of this on website updates.

Applications received from PhD applicants:

Applications received toward the overall cap: 0 of 1,000 as of November 5, 2011

Definitely good info. And what do you mean by your sentence that " they have option to make you undergo surgery prior to migrating"????
Does it mean that your Medical will be sent to VO and VO will ask you go for surgery or Physician will ask you to go for surgery and then do medical again???

not really sure what the exact sequence is but this is what the DMP told me and true enough there is a tick box on the IMM 1017 medical report form that says "Findings that may require more extensive investigation or care."

Hey Zelda,

Pls could you share your job verification details with the house as this will keep us more inform?

Rgds,

Spicey

The verification call done for me was not exactly centered on my job. More of my living arrangement coz i wrote down 2 current addresses. Although they did ask me if i am still with my current employer and went as far as ask why i was absent from work lol. actually i was on vacation leave. the questions were very random. I can tell they were looking for inconsistencies so jus stick to the truth and you'll do fine.

an important thing the CEM employee told me was that if i dont take their call, my application would be set aside and put on hold. so whatever u guys are doing, PLEASE TAKE THE CALL. otherwise your app will be placed at the bottom of some God knows what queue.

and no. they do not entertain return calls. ;)

It is really weird how they are treating some applications, this is not the first application of 1122 post july 8th that gets a payment charged then returned due to cap reached. No one but 1122s have reported cases like this though.
