I do want expert advice of Forum members. My passport is getting expired on 22/04/2012, I did submitted my Police verification Certificate from India and also my FBI police clearance certificate from Canada along with my file when i submitted. I did receive my PER on 18th OCT 2011. Right now I am in Canada on a Student visa will return to India in Nov 1st week. DO i need to renew my passport, as my passport would get expire near to when my Visa would be issued. Someone told to me your passport should be minimum have 6 months validity for visa to be stamped.
My concern is do I need to get PCC from India and Canada for my new passport. Do I need to send copy of my new passport to NEWDELHI visa office or CIC office in NOVA Scotia. My file has been transferred to New delhi office but I have not received my second AOR yet.
Expert advice is much awaited.
Please help me out.

PCCs certify you, not your passport. You do not need new Pcc unless VO ask you for them.
You need to renew your passport as they will not stamp the visa on a nearly expired one and you need to send the new copies to the VO only.

My application reached to CIO on 12 september2011 and i sent email on 1 october 2011 to correct my doubts about assets and settlement of funds and my pre marriage name which i didnt mention in generic form.They sent me email today as follows:
Dear Sir/Madam:
Please be advised that we currently have no record of your submission. However, it could be in the queue for initial processing. If you wish to submit a status enquiry in 3-4 weeks, a further search can be done.
Thank you for your interest in Canada.
