I am totaly agree with HIGHNESS . Anywhere in the world you go you have motive to survive and positive attitude towards your life always help you to give a bright future.
to buttress any perception that canada is a land where honey flows and that you dig gold every corner you go is a total misleading info. getting landed is the very first step as it open doors to endless opportunities but i must tell you that you'll need to walk your way back to the top if you're determined.it is achieveable!alaindotcom said:It will be good for everyone to take the settlement funds requirement seriously. The Canadian government, through the FSW program, fully acknowledges the fact that it takes some time for new immigrants to land gainful employment in Canada. That is precisely why they require applicants to set aside funds to get them through their first few months after the big move. The amounts set are not arbitrary. These represent average costs of living across Canada, for families of varying sizes. Again, there are no surprises here.
On another note, I would like to say I am all for dignity of labor. There is nothing wrong with washing dishes (or cleaning houses for that matter) for a living. If that is what one wants to do, he should do so with gusto and pride. If someone, by force of circumstance, has to take on a temporary job washing dishes to get him through an awkward start, he should do so with pride while not losing sight of the larger goal he has set out for himself. Everyone needs to work to get to where they want to be. Nothing is going to be served on a silver platter.
I myself has an MBA. But I haven't wrapped my MBA and my profession around my self-esteem. I am more than just a degree and a profession. In any case, not all MBAs are created equal. To those wishing to take an MBA outside of Canada, make sure you select a program that is accredited by AACSB, AMBA, and Equis. To most of the developed world, these are the accreditation that matter.

Hi good post!Canuckpitman said:Future Canadians,
I just hope that what you indicated in your proof of funds is yours and yours alone, not borrowed from relatives or friends. You will certainly need that money to adjust on a different lifestyle.
...
Thank you for your advice. But I read somewhere in this forum if anybody has money more than CIC announcement he/she will be fined or prisoned? Do you agree whit these statements? Thanks in advanceCappuccino said:Hi good post!
Life could be a struggle when you start out in Canada even if you have the minimum required settlement funds of your own (and CIC strongly advise you to take more if you can). Do not make the struggle even harder by getting into debt to meet the funding requirements.
So I would say please do not take the requirement for settlement funds lightly. If you borrow money for this, not only are you cheating other applicants and CIC, but you are also cheating yourselves.
