To all London VO applicants (especially those in the 1122 NOC)

We are unfortunately in a situation where both our NOC category and our VO has a disturbing precedent of long processing times. After a quick glance at last year's applicant data sheet, it seems the lack of activity regarding our applications is not a worrying situation. Several applicants didn't hear back for 8 months after getting their PERs.

So be optimistic folks. Keep it together and don't lose hope. London VO NOC 1122 applicants are going to make it, even if we're last amongst all of our forum friends! And on the brighter side, if we go last, all our friends can come pick us up at the airport .

Finally, on a serious note, my condolences and prayers to the victims of recent floods in the Philippines. May all of our lovely Philippino friends stay safe from this force of nature

Did you staple all 6 pictures to your checklist? I guess they expect all the pictures to be in the envelope, so that they could easily use them.

No I had put the pictures in a clear plastic pouch and stapled the pouch to the checklist.

For you people m new to this forum..bt u people are just like my friends because i m following this forum since long.i am also july 11 applicant applied in september 2011 in NOC 3142..got refusal in december because of experience certificate.they had objection that my employer didnt mention my duties in experience certificate..i was not aware of this to mention in experience certificate.. :-[....even my consultant didnt inform me earlier...anyways m gonna apply again in first week of January..i want some advices from all the members...

1. are there any changes in generic application forms since september 2011 or they are same?

The Federal Skilled Worker program has a new eligibility stream that is open to international students who are pursuing or who have completed doctoral (PhD) studies at Canadian institutions. Please read the instructions for more information.

Important:

New forms and an updated Instruction Guide and Document Checklist (IMM 5612) are now available. Applicants should follow the new Instruction Guide when preparing to submit an application

Federal skilled worker applications received by the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) after November 14, 2011 must be prepared using the updated instruction guide and Document Checklist (IMM 5612) or they will be returned as incomplete.

The CIO will continue to accept the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada (IMM0008) until March 31, 2012. After that date, only the new version of the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) will be accepted and all previous versions will be returned to applicants.

Note: As of July 18, 2011, applicants for Permanent Residence are asked to complete the new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008). Applicants are encouraged to complete the form electronically and validate the information to generate 2D barcodes before printing. To ensure you have the most recent application form, please use the link to the application form.[size=10pt]I can only advise you to always refer to CIC website to make sure you use new forms and to be sure that you are updated...

2. any advice regarding experience certificate?

this is the document checklist link:

Pls open the link and read specifically no. 12, it is stated there what the certificates should contain and it is clearly indicated that duties should be mentioned in the coe...I am sorry to tell you but it shows that your consultant is not updated hence you should rely on your skill of researching, reading, updating and gathering of data skill wherefore you can drop ur consultant and save yourself a lot of agency fee...

we can always help you with your query, but i believe it is a well advise as well to always refer to CIC website for they always have updated news. It is best to check and recheck and recheck atleast more than 10x your filled up forms, accompanying documents (evidence) to make sure it complies w/ all the requirements.


3. m not trusting my consultant now..thats y bothering all of you.. I say, I've been there, done that... It's best to trust your instinct and the members' input here for theirs are true experience, better than some agency's knowledge...
