hi,

Followings are sololy upon my own knowledge, may not 100% correct.

1. PER: positive eligibility review (means u r passed for 67pts.), NER: negative eligibility review (means u r NOT passed)
2. 1st PER given by CIO, 2nd PER by VO
3. no, AOR is just the acknowledgment of receipt
4. timelines are not fixed, my assumption is 1-2 months for AOR, 2-4 for PER.

Hey guys,

My husband is the principal applicant and I selected VO Buffalo as US is our current country of residence. Is it OK if I (spouse of principal applicant) go to my home country for a period of 4-5 months? I have not sent my PCC with my application so I have to wait to hear from the VO but we have made all arrangements for getting those documents when required. How will this or how will this not effect our application? Any thoughts friends?

This year the CIC has, I feel started assessing the applications only after 18th July after they rolled out the new application format. See the BD of the 5th July guy was en-cashed on the 22nd just the day after the first update of 52 on the website. If my assessment is correct, "Ravi" should have his BD encashed this week.. :D

As a part of application process, it is mandatory to submit police certificates/clearances (PCC) or a record of no information. It is essential to give these documents for every country where the applicant have lived for 6 consecutive months or more than that since the time he reached the age of 18. The country should be other than Canada. This PCC is required to be offered for principal applicant as also spouse and child over the age of 18 years

Hope i was able to answer ur query sis..................

No offense, but I think this assessment is very flawed. We are all anxious to see ourselves advancing to the next stage, but that does not justify unreasonable speculations that can cause panic. 8)

Hi pr moon,

1) PER= Positive Eligibility Review : Term coined by members of post 26th June 2010 thread, it was the AOR which they received from CIO. Since, unlike pre 26th June, this email had the wordings " final positive determination of eligibility for processing ". Hence the 1st AOR is popularly now called PER.

2) NER= Negative Eligibility Review : Opposite of PER

3) As for the timelines , nothing can be said unless first few PERs start coming in for post 1st July applicants. It will help us to establish pattern (timeline).

It depends of your VISa Office, for example en mia VO which is Lima says that is desirable to send the Police Certificates, however you should sent it when they request for it. I dont know if the rules has changed since July 18th because I send the aplication package on July8th.
