guys..CIO first updated their cap last july 20 right?..someone here posted that CIO usually opens our files 2days
upon receipt and marked it as complete or not..so if its on july20..and only 50 plus applicants on the cap of noc 1122 and 26 application for noc 3152 for 18-20days? It means they have rejected some applications? can we email them? :-X

dont be in so much hurry to email them....let them do their job their way. once should only email them if their bd / cc is not charged even after one month of the date of receipt of their application.

Hi There,

Ravi, have u checked with ur bank for the encashment of BD. If yes, what was the status. And if No, then when do you plan to do so, as my app. has also reached on 13/07/2011 and just wanted to check that by what time do you think we should check with our bankers. My mode pf payment was BD.

i think you should wait for a couple of days...there is no problem in checking it even tomorrow. but i think you should check by thursday or friday. bd / cc is usually charged after 15 days but in case of BD it takes aroun 3-4 days for your local bank to get updates.

Hey guys, check this out. There is a user which claims that he received a letter of acknowledgement already. He applied on July 1st.

i really doubt about the acknowledgment that guys talking about. i have never seen any case where any kind of acknowledgement is given by cic and that too in such a short period. it is possible that he must have got acknowledgement from his bank regarding the encashment of his BD.

Guys I think that it is immpossible that any one can receive AOR in just 25 to 30 days, an AOR ussally takes atleast 2.5 months ................and above all an acknowledgement without application number is immpossible...

for those who are new and unknown of the process of CIC let me just brief.

1. first step after receiveing you application is that they make a check if all the documents are there and that you have filled and signed the application set properly or not. if you have dont it right...you are a +1 for them. (Day 1)

2. then they encash your BD / CC and transfers the file to one of the processing officers. (2 weeks appx)

3. in the next step the processing officer scrutinizes your application regarding your eligibilty, points, your experience, your noc details, your funds and other things. if the processing officer is satisfied, hi will send you a PER i.e positive eligibilty review which means you are eligible for a PR. (12-16 weeks from apply date)

4. CIC then sends your file to you Visa Office and your Visa Office sends you AOR and request for any additional or necessary documents. (20-24 weeks from apply date)

5. After that you will receive your Medical Request (26-30 weeks from apply date)

6. once you send you correct and passed medical test results, you will get a request for sending your passport (32-36 weeks)

7. and finally you get you visa for canada (42-46 weeks from apply date)


this is just a rough guideline. please feel free to correct me if i am wrong somewhere.

Guys i had read somewhere that last year CIC had received around 425000 immigration applications................but if you will consider the last year quota which is of 20000 FSW had got filled upto 14000 only......then how CIC can receive 425000 application even if you will include 30000(both provicinal nominees and federal investors) the total comes to 50000 and even if all these applicants have atleast 4 family members then 50000*4=200000 wheres canada is claiming to admit 265000 economic immigrants in 2010...............and this year they are targeting to admit atleast 280000 economic immigrants and even this year they had reduced the quota to 10000 FSW.................pls comment

this is nothing but backlog. CIC is still processing applications which were received before 2-5 years which didnt have any categories or limits. applicants only used to send a simplified form and had to wait for more that 3-4 years for their files to process.
