I just received a letter from CIC wih subject "Application for Permanent Residence in Canada" and it is says "your application has received a positive final determination of eligibility for processing on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship".

Is this PER or AOR?? Please advise.

Also kindly update ss with payment dated 23 Sep 2011.

Basically what I can make out of it is:

1) CIC considers immigration backlog the most serious problem.

2) Canada wants people who can contribute to their economy; categories like FSW, PNP, Canada experience class, Investors & entrepreneurs & et al

3) Canadians think they already have very high immigration level & CIC agrees to that & don't want to increase it any further.

3) CIC asserts limiting the number of new applications to have manageable backlog & overall better application processing times.

4) They have already cut down application intake in FSW & Investor immigrant program but have left parents & grandparents category untouched.

5) They may have to again cut down on economic immigration in order to accommodate other immigrants keeping the same level of admissions every year.

6) CIC too is keen & finding ways to have the applications processed in the same year & wait times not jumping to over a year for all their programs


I guess we should all have our visas with us before we complete a year by virtue of being current year FSW applicants.
