It does not matter what the degree states, but the online college or university has to be an accredited one, (although I have never heard of any university that states "distance learning" on its transcripts or degrees).

Since he has a total of 15 years of studies with two or more diplomas he might be awarded 22 points instead of 20 but I heard of many "horror stories" where officers did not award the points as the applicant calculated so he might want to be extra careful when submiting docs of his education.

thanks BIG O for the quick reply.. so what do u suggest.. should i ask him to mark the minimum 20 points...coz one had to sign the points calculation sheet as well...i really do not understand that maybe this might be the college fault or typo error....the distance learning thing.....though it was full time....please advise what should be the minimum points he can claim.
much thanks

There is no harm in claiming 22 points so ask him to sign for that. Does he still qualify if they award him 20?
I don't see them awarding him less than 20 points if he can prove that the studies were on full time basis (bit hard to prove so when it comes to online education). He should try and get some supporting letters from the university/college just in case!

yeah he does qualify if they award him 20 points.. secondly.. he can get those things rectified but it wil take lot of time and he had sent his application today....i just came to know now itself....so what do u think as per ur experience BIG O....20 is what he is looking for boss and 20 is what he has written.......
thanks
