Ahh that makes sense Westpoint - I think you have a solution here.
According to the new checklist, it says a copy of the TRF form can be kept along with the CIC rejection mail copy and explain that it is 3+ months since the docs were returned and you havent recieved it - I reckon it should work.

In btwm, how were you informed that the application was rejected and docs returned Is it via an email ?
Could you provide the dates etc as this will be helpful to know ? I.e when did they recieve the application pack ? when was the rejection email send? when did they inform that docs were returned?

thanks. i was thinking abt doing that. but they say they will accept it if ur documents were not returned by CIO along with ur trf. however my docs were returned so i can not say whether they will accept a photocopy? hence i am waiting for it and play it safe somehow? what do u think?

my application reached on the 8th for noc 1122
looks like my chances are slim .... after narrowly missing out last year .. looks like its gonna be the same story this year as well :'(

hey priyavig...dont worry your application is 100% going be in the caps as the number is just 187 as on 27th. they why in the world are you worrying about getting in the cap.

i guess its the anxiety talking ... my application was returned after it was checked cuz the cap had been reach
so the long wait of 1 year and fretting about it making the cap this year as well
and the huge jump of 52 -187 in 1 week !!
moreover most people who sent in their applications this year have narrowly missed it like me ... so all paperwork is probably in order so very little chance of rejection - atleast thats how i look at it

but thanks for the positive thoughts ... keeping my fingers crossed that i make the cap

Hmm a bit of a chicken and egg situation - Were you informed that the docs were returned only after you made contact via email ? When did they say that the docs were returned ? Going by what you said earlier, if it was in the month of May - even a regular post wouldnt take 2+ months
1. Have you appeared for the exam via IDP or British Council ? Did you already ask them for the procedure to get a second original copy ? No harm in trying so I would strongly recommend .
2. If the above proves difficult, you could still proceed with the application with a good cover letter explaining that it is possible that the docs are lost in the post unless they have shared a tracking number which i doubt .

Going by what you said earlier, if it was in the month of May - even a regular post wouldnt take 2+ months i guess it's different here in the Philippines??? when before i received a letter from CIO, their letter was dated sept 2010 and i got the letter 10th of january just imagine that? and i am not alone in this situation, most of us who are waiting for our returned docs took 3 or 4 months, so somehow they keep me company ;D
