Hi lost,
Congratz on CC being charged, you are within cap, just wait for few days CIO will send PER (Positive Eligibility Review) letter by email. Please don't feel lost. Cheer up :P
Does this mean I have obtained 67 points i.e pass mark.

dude, replied in your thread.....

it's hard to say...

my BD was en-cashed and I got NER,, then they sent me a new BD.
when I appealed, they again asked for a new BD....

so, IMO, en-cashing of BD or charging CC, do not indicate that completeness of application is done.

hope it eases.

They process fee payment after completeness check i.e. application complete in all respects.(Of course before the cap is reached for that NOC)
Thereafter your file is put in queue for ER (Eligibility review, points calculation etc.) after which they send a letter via email addresses provided on your application (PER/NER).

My dear do u think when the file is in ER stage it will be counted within cap or not

hello sir I am new in this forum.I have question regarding caps reach.I applied as pharmacist 3131 and my application sent on 25 july.Today i saw that number shows 202 what that means??. number of application they received or number of application they issued PER ??.I am too worried as my dd is not encashed yet.

Yes, the cap is counted before ER. Cap is the maximum total complete applications which will be considered for processing in a year.

No, only when you receive PER, it implies that you are eligible under MI3 & got the requisite pass mark.

can we add new ielts score in later stage if ner is obtained or add it now because I scored higher after I send my documents.

No, you cannot add anything to your application after it is received by CIO unless they ask you to.However an unfair NER can be rectified (Please go through Wayne's blog for this particular thing)

Please post your details here on the thread to be a part of post July tracker.

Sharin,

This means the cic received 500 complete applications by aug 23rd and cap was reached

I happen to have CIC in my twitter and in that on August 23rd it was written that NOC#1122 has reached cap.

And on August 11th it was written less that 100 spots remain for NOC# 1122

Can somebody give me comment on this

Dears,

Please somebody tell me about ecas, and whats the advantage of it.

Thanks for the info, so how is it different from checking the status online on CIC website?

Yes, basically
1) You can't add documents once the application is received by CIO since they have no way to match incoming documents to applications without a file number
2) However you CAN send in additional documents to your visa office once CIO have assessed the application and given you a file number and sent the application to the visa office

So if you end up getting another set of IELTS results and they are better than the results which were originally sent, it is worth sending these to the visa office once you get your file number from CIO, since this can strengthen your position especially since the visa office do another eligibility review and they can occasionally contradict CIO's eligibility decision.

However if you want to send anything to the visa office it is very important to do this BEFORE they make a decision. Once an application is approved or denied they will not consider any additional documentation.

But as RKC mentions you can appeal a NER at CIO stage if it is unfair and it should have been a PER based on the documents CIO received with the application. CanadaJimmy has kindly posted a page on my blog (linked below) which explains how he successfully turned around a NER into a PER.

Wayne.
