is it possible cic just counted the no of apps received and now opening apps verifying , charging accordingly and returning apps those who fail ....

That is the only chance for us.. isn't it???? ;D

from the timeline of applicants whose DD or CC is encashed it is obvious that encashment takes 40 to 45 from the day ur application is received. so it wud b logical to watch out for the CAP status after 45 days ur application is received. if the NOC is still not filled by that time there is a very good chance that u will make the cut.

i think there is two issues that will confirm that you will within the caps or not-
1) your applications are awaiting for initial processing means your applications are opened, but does not have the completeness check, in this stage u r not in the cap
2) and if ur application is on review stage it means that ur application are within the cap.

Just got reply to my query reg status of my application sent 14 days ago.. Looks like they charge cc after initial assessment and assigning a file # . How long it usually takes for PER after CC is charged ? anybody ?

It takes about 2-3 months. Check out the spread sheet in my signature column. Please share us your details if you would like to be added to this.

I think no record in thier system means not opened yet ..! send to them DHL waybill number to assure delevery by CIO.
