Hi Engineer,

I have already post a reply the there won't be MI4 or MI5...From July 2011...this category will be called MI3.

Don't feel lucky for it, we can't grantee that applicant from MI3 2nd term/intake will get visa after us..coz CIC have

also give hints to give priority to certain occupation from next intake!!

I wish u all best of luck for smooth and quick processing!!

Dear Guys
"If new Ministerial Instructions are not issued before July 1, 2012, the current cap of 10,000 new applications will re-set on that date."
then this will be MI3 2nd term not MI4 OR MI5 :) ;)
and this will be good for MI3 1st term applicants because they will be processed first not MI3 2nd term ;)

I just posted my following opinion on another thread and think it may have some relevance here too besides bringing some hope for the pre-Juners

In my opinion backlog is reducing:

-Pre Feb2008 (biggest backlog) - The govt has decided to return files and reimburse fee for the cases that have not not reached SELDEC stage.

- MI-1 (Feb 2008-June 2010) second largest backlog - CIC recieved overwhelming number of approx 425,000 applications against their regular annual intake of 65000-75000 (FSW applications). This was beyond their expectations and ability to clear in one year as announced by the Minister. CIC is focussing to clear this backlog now.

- MI - 2 (June 2010-July 2011) - Occupation list reduced from 38 to 29 and max number of applications capped at 20,000, enabling them to clear these cases (within one year) as well as some backlog.

- MI-3 (July 2011 - ---) Occupation list remains same but max number of applications cap reduced from 20,000 to 10,000 enabling them to clear curent cases as well as continue clearing backlog.

I wish u all best of luck for smooth and quick processing!!

Dear Seniors,

Last month I got visa and now planning to land Toronto on 8th July for 45 days. Please advice and guide about;

1. Do I need to fill any application for PR card at the time of landing or after, other than giving an address to them, so PR Card process starts.
2. How many days normally they take to send PR Cards. Me and my family is going for 45 days, expecting that PR Card will be ready during this period as they have mentioned maximum 35 working days on website.
3. My wife doesn't have a birth certificate, but she got her ID card on which her birthdate is mentioned, will this be good enough or birth certificate is
mandatory to get medical card and driving license etc.

Regards,
Rehan Sami

That's gr8 news. All the very best for your future in canada.

Congrats.

Dear Rehan Sami, Congrats on getting Visa!!

>>On landing,Immigration officer will fill a form for PR card and that would be deliver to address provided by you. It would take 6-8weeks(max) to get PR card, this card would be a grantee to re-enrty to Canada!!

>> Wife's passport,National ID Card(if any) and Driving licence from home would be more than enough to get Medical Card and Driving licence!!

Dua'o mei yaad rakhna, and pray for our fast process to get visa!! I wish u all best of luck for happy and successful life in Canada.

Dear babbu.mann - I had posted this info on 26 May at http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/prejunes-get-medicial-in-aug-2012-onwards-t106037.0.html;msg1489663#msg1489663

Its ethically wrong to steal some body else's work and not at all accepted here in Canada.

Personally buddy,am not too comfortable with this font size. Kindly restrict for VO's only.

Right said, Spicey

That goes for Mr. RawlinB..222 whatever too. Stop trolling, please.

@Rehan...
The papers which you present to the Immigration Officer, providing they are complete, are enough. You do not need to fill out any form/card, except the declaration of assets.
The PR card will be posted at the Canadian address you have mentioned in your application form, unless you state otherwise. You should receive the PR card within 45-60 days from landing in Canada.
I advise you to carry a notarized affidavit signed by your wife stating that she does not possess a birth certificate.
Nothing else should be mentioned in the statement. Nothing extraneous. Just this fact.

Regards,

K

Is Buffalo VO gonna be closed?
