Hi everyone,

I was wondering who else has had their Medical Request? I just received mine on the 6th Jan 2012 and am going on Friday to a designated doctor to have my med exam done, its rather expensive..but has to be done!

Can I ask as well please...once I have been issued my PR, how long am I allowed to actually move? Can I 'land' in the province I want to move to just to validate my visa and then go back to the UK to finish and tie up anything else I need to before properly moving to Canada?? What are the rules about this please?

Hey Tkaur, Congrats! on your MR

As far as I know , visa is valid upto 1 year from the date of medicals..you can land in any province except Quebec..you can definitely go back to UK after completing landing formalities...just that you have to provide a mailing address in Canada for your PR cards . Simultaneously you should apply for SIN number, health card among other things.

I have a couple of questions too ,please if you can answer them.

1) Did you receive your medical request by email or post?
2) What your CAS details read at this point, mainly if you've the third line " we started processing..." in your CAS details?
3) For the tracker & benefit of other NDVO applicants, please share your AOR date & MR date

Got my MR today!!! My ecas status say processing started Dec 19, 2011 but MR letter was dated January 4, 2012! So i guess, they did not send any MR after Dec 19!

Hi! just notice that u are done with your medicals and it was already forwarded to the embassy, maybe you can help me or anybody from this group with my present status. my family and I were done with our medicals last Nov. 18 2011, however,my husband^s ECG shows an irregular beat and was referred to a cardiologist,according to DMP the result of my medicals and that of my children were sent on Dec. 13 of course excluding my husbands medical result.As of the moment, DMP confirmed That they have forwarded the result of my spouse med result to the embassy only on Jan 06 (He was cleared by his Cardiologist) My question is that how long will i wait till they(EMBASSY) give me feed back? by the way, we were ask by the embassy to comply with medicals til Jan 03,since the MR was dated Nov.03.I'm quite worried about this, although i have informed them in writing that there are additional test and there will be a possible delay in the submission of his Medical report. from successful MI2 applicants, as long as u were able to comply w/ the medicals during the time frame given to you but ur DMP submitted it beyond the said period, u r still safe bec ur DMP already had the results w/ them before the expiration given...i repeat, source of info: PJ26 Canadian Immigrants

Thanks to all my forum friends who helped me in every way and guidance for your precious prayers.

Today 11-01-2012, 3.5 hours ago I received my Medical Request and RPRF along with with medical form and medical instruction and address label of CHC, London.

It is dated 05-01-2012 and was dispatched from London on same date and it was received by Pakistan Post in my city today 11-01-2012 and hats off to our Post office I received it at 2.30 p.m. PST. And I was expecting that It'll not come before 20th jan,2012. But unpredictable for me and my family. We are planning to have appointment on Monday.

And yeah one thing one it came with the same my address label that I had included in my application. So no need to worry that what address is in ECAS.

Once again Thanks to all.

And all the best to every1 for their processing. And now my special wish and pray for RKC who is waiting for MR and i am not forgetting NKKD as well, so my best prayers for her as well and I hope that my Prayers will wake up the CHC, Buffalo staff to do something.

I have question to those who have got their MR done.

Medical Instruction letter says that 3 passport size photographs for each but it doesn't state that they must not b 6 months old. Now I want to know that can I give same copies of the Photos that I sent with my initial application (same photos are attached with our medical forms) as these photos were taken in July,2011. what are your suggestions.
