Ok guys I got the visa today. Just applied for UK visa so that I can have a stop on the way.

Hello All.
Please help me to understand the following thing.

The following table is in eCAS to help us to understand the status of our application.

1. Application for Permanent Residence Outside Canada
2. Application for Permanent Residence in Canada
3. Application for Permanent Residence - Federal skilled Worker submitted to Sydney, Nova Scotia

We all sent our application to Nova Scotia. So we are in group 3. Our status is 'In process'. So Can we understand that our 'Visa office eligibility review complete. And this part was done by CIC? as PER explains FINAL determination of eligibility for processing . It means those who got PER will get MR eventually?

Please share your thought. This is my understanding came from the explanation given by CIC in our eCAS window.
Thanks. Best wishes for all of us.

That's what I got too. CIC received my application on July 5. I got my per on Sep 8. On Oct 7 I received mail from Buffalo saying that it received the application on July 5. I guess they are using the original application date.

yes they (CIO/VO) use in ECAS date of receipt of your application in Sydney, hence the same date is reflected...

It means those who got PER will get MR eventually? it means, at CIO level, you pass the eligibility review therefore u qualify for 'processing'. then, CIO transfers your file to your VO. Here in VO, it will undergo further scrutiny, review (w/c includes the points given to u), background check (could be random or depending on the quality of documentations u sent), if it passes their rigid review most likely u will get MR/PPR/RPRF and the most coveted VISA.

Please share your thought. This is my understanding came from the explanation given by CIC in our eCAS window.

Dear Westpoint,
Thanks for your informative explanation. I totally understand what you mean but my point is 'In process' stage after all stage. If it goes back to RBVO or VO Eligibility', I would suggest CIC to reformat their given explanation on eCAS window. It sounds to me that they are misguiding all of us. 'In process' stage should be just before RBVO stage. What do you think? This is just my thought. Good luck all of us.
Thanks
