if ur file is returned due to cap then it means tht it didnt even go through the completeness check. they wud not have given u a file number n not even gone through ur papers n documents. (this is my opinion)
now if u think tht u can truthfully provide them details about job description n everything else required u shud go ahead n file new application as social worker.
i hope the seniors will b able to give u much better advice in this regard but i feel tht u can do it.

Hello to all members of this forum and congrats to those who have moved a step in the desired direction.

Let me share my own experience for the information of this forum.

My application was received at the CIO on 16th June 2011, the CAP had been reached much earlier but according to the website it reached on 15th June, 2011.
The CIO sent back my complete application package on 29th June 2011 through snail mail.
It reached my home on 22nd August 2011.
They had not used the provided mailing labels.
My application forms had thoroughly been checked for completeness and red tick marks were made on every important entry.
I had also been given a file number.

Instead of using the same forms, I signed another set of forms and sent my case as fresh case on 26th August 2011.

What benefit will one get by using the UCI or form number on the older refused application? Isn't it better to re-fill forms and send as a fresh case?

I've been out for almost a month but since last month a was calling my agent in order to get news about PER/NER , but they were always telling me they didn't get any news from CIO. I started to get worry about and decided to send them an email and yesterday I got a reply:

They wrote a file number .
We sent you an email on 5.12.2011 !!!

My agent is not informing me what is happening and I am very worried!!!


Is it possible that it was a NER?
Till now my ecas says: IN PROCESS. We recieved your application 6.9.11

I tried to call CIO yesterday but all the lines were busy

Please help!!!! :'(

Why would it be NER? Be positive and call CIO on Monday 9th January. God willing, it will be PER. I suspect that you PER email has gone to agent junk mail box.

Ovais is right. CIO doesn't check applications ( forms/documents et al) if they receive them after the cap has reached. This application which you plan to send will be as good as new. No need for a cover letter. If you have one year full time or part time equivalent paid 4152 experience in the last 10 years which you can support /document , go ahead & file.

FYI the cap for 3152 reached on 19th July.

Information of encashment through credit cards is received immediately but you have to wait for the DD/BD. God willing, you will receive your PER by end of next week. You should have got it by now but delayed due to Xmas/NewYear. Wishing you best of luck.

this is amazing. from ur earlier post i get an impression tht u didnt mention ur earlier UCI number on the new application. if u did then its ok.
actually a friend of mine submitted his application in october n her whole package was returned just because she didnt mention the file number of an application which was submitted in 2005 in which her husband was the principal applicant.
(i am under the impression tht u didnt provide the old UCI number)

Quebec selects it's own immigrants, it establishes it's own immigration requirements. You have to follow a separate selection process before your application is finalised by CIC.

dear patricia, i think amir confused, if he/she use same experiance certificates for diff noc, cio officer may doubt the authenticity of the application. i hope, he plans to apply under 4152(socialworker).

Your case is very similar to mine!
My first application (17.06.2011) also was returned due to cap reached . They did the same with that application!
I also got back the whole package in august!

I sent them back an email asking them to send me a copy from the ER letter. Let's see.
I hope everything will be alright...

u better ask qorax as well. u say tht they know tht u applied in 3152............how do they know? did u get a UCI for returned application?
secondly if there has been some experience or job which u didnt mention in the returned application n these details were checked by CIO officials u will b in trouble. becoz this wud be construed as misrepresentation of ur case.

Yes I did not mention my earlier UCI number on my fresh application. I just filled a new application form and sent the whole package as a new case (because my case had not been accepted and returned).

Regarding your friend's 2005 case. It was necessary to write the old file number as their application had been accepted for processing.

optimist u seem to know about the rules regarding the old n new applications. as i told u tht she got her application package back. all the documents and forms were thoroughly checked and she was given a new UCI. the dd was not encashed n there was an accompanying letter asking her to provide the old application number.
my question is:
will her case go into the queue once more or it is already within the cap n they will just process is it once they get the missing information. wht do u think is gonna happen?
