I'm an Indian citizen working in Malaysia (primarily live here). My company is transferring me to Canada. I understand, I can either apply to the the Singapore VO or India VO. I would prefer my employer to apply in India (can travel if needed) due to the shorter waiting time.
My questions are -
1. What are the practical difficulties I would encounter in such a scenario? How any time would I need to physically visit a Office/Consulate?
2. Fingerprinting is needed when we apply from India? (India does not figure in the list of countries but I found some discussions on it here)
3. Once I receive the LOI, lets say in India, do I have to apply for the entry Visa in the same office or can I apply for my Visa in Singapore?
Anyone has tried this before? Any help is appreciated.
