I am Canadian, and my fiance is Nigerian, currently living in UK on a Student Visa, but will is in appeals for extension and will very likely be denied, resulting in his return to Nigeria in April. We are getting married in April in Nigeria and will put in spousal application immediately upon my return to Canada.
I am working on putting in the strongest application possible. Does anyone know if it will be possible for us to have a joint bank account, while living in separate countries? I am looking for a basic account, no overdraft, no credit cards, and will happily pay monthly fees for the account. I will be going to London in 3 weeks and we are hoping to set up such an account.
Does anyone know if this is possible? I was thinking HSBC as it is an international bank. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thank you!
