Joint account for Proof of funds

Hi ,

I have received an ITA and currently i'm trying to figure out the POF documents.
The issue is the only account which i have is a joint account ( with my dad, even though he does not use it and i have full control over it)

Infact it is also my salary account and all my funds are in it.

Also i have taken a gift deed from my father and the funds have been transferred to this account only.

Can this be a reason for rejection ?

If so then are there any suggestions how to move forward?

You should not submit PR application with a joint account. If you already have ITA, better visit your bank and get your father's name removed from the bank account and become a single owner. Else, your PR may get rejected.

what if i transfer this amount to another savings account which is not a joint account .

Will that work? What documents do i have show in that case?

6 months bank statements for the joint account showing how the money accumulated and its origin. There should be no doubts as to who the money belongs to.

Or, you can become the sole owner of the bank account.

Or, you transfer the money and get a gift dead from your father that he gifted you the money assuming it's his or part of it.
