My fiance is working in canada with a work permit and is PR application is still pending before the High commission. We have been waiting for his papers to come but unfortunately its getting delayed. However, we are now planning to get married around January 2008 and furthermore add my application in to his file. Our only concern is that would I be able to join him in Canada post our marriage on an open work permit based on his work permit and what are the chances of getting a visa. Also should I apply for my visa before the wedding or immediately post wedding? I would be grateful if someone could advise me on the same or if someone has to share a similar experience.
