it's pretty obvious study permit or trv can't exceed the expiry date of passport. But once you renew your passport, you can have another study permit (trv even on cancelled passport stands valid).

Well, In my Case the Visa officer told me that Your study permit can't exceed the date of expiry of your Visa

So he just issued me the Study Permit valid till the expiry of Visa Issued.

He further told me that you can letter extend the visa and Study Permit but he cant just extend the study permit beyond visa Expiry.

If you have already paid the fee for your semester then they will keep $500 of it and after that deffer your admission to the next semester

Hello all,

I came to Canada this May 2014 at Humber College for PG Marketing program...I had to go back home within one week after my arrival at Canada...my father got heart attack and went on ventilator and I reached back home....and did withdrawal and refund of fees...

Now, I want to go back again...I applied Humber again but got admission for January 2015.....as for September 2014 admission is closed....

Now my question is:

Will I be re-allowed to enter Canada....I have valid TRV(Multiple) & Study Permit till June 2015....I am planning to come again December 2014

One more thing my study permit was issued before June 01, 2014.....

I am really worried..your valuable experience and feedback is needed.
