tell me 2nd AOR has the same file number as of 1st AOR. just want to know that to check status the initial file number will persist.

2nd AOR will have different file no from the first AOR. but both no will work for checking ECAS. BUT you need to quote second file no for any communication with local visa office. Hope it helps

Second AOR comes through ordinary post. Normally it is dispatched within a week after your status changes to Recvd by Visa office, and since it comes from london via ordinary post, it takes upto 3 weeks to reach your home. And there are high chances that your post man just slides it under your door after ringing (since no recving signatures are required for ordinary post) and considering the current weather you might even miss it. So keep checking it with your post man

Nothing particular is written in the second AOR. it has a new file no (which is imp, you must save it) it just states we have recvd ur application and its eligible for processing.

i got my 2nd AOR in 2 days only, chc london sent me on 16th aug 2010 and i received on 18th AUG 2010. allah ka shukar. some applicants are saying that when applicant passed or complete (PSDEC) paper screening decision ,then chc send 2nd AOR.
