i have sent my passports on 3 june when can i expect them back?i have one more query can my wife land in canada and come back in a couple of days and i may collect her pr card on her behalf?

Give it 3-4 weeks.
Yes, when she applies for PR card, it'll be mailed to the address you give- you can collect it on her behalf. She'd need the PR card to enter Canada though.

Thanks a lot canpuneet but i talked to my cousin in canada(she is also an immigrant) she said that my wife should stay there until she gets the PR card otherwise some problems may arise, kindly comment

By GOD'S grace, just checked,the status has changed to 'Decission made'.i submitted all my doct.[PP,RPRF,MEDICALS] on 15.04.10.
i think its should be in POSITIVE.

7 to 45 days....With exceptions ofcourse !!!!

First of all thanks everyone for airing your views on the various issues & sharing your experiences. Today i received my PP stamped for visa for which we were waiting. atcually i it got on 23rd days...Now planning to land in canada end of July.

I wish I could file the application at New Delhi!!! A usual timeline here is to wait another 2weeks to 4months to get the passport request since the DMP sent the medical result to Ottawa.

No it is not compulsory that you will get reciepts of fees paid...in my case i have not recieved so far & even status not changed to decison made etc...i got my pp stamped with Visa on 29th June 2010...even till today my statsus is showing in process...so take it easy...normally these days CHC ND is processig within 23-40 days....

Finally my status has changed on e-cas also to "decision made" whereas i recieved my PP's visa stamped on 29th June 2010. Hence don;t think too much of e-cas status...they keep processing files without updating status.

Flying to Toronto on29th July 2010.
