What will the new immigration minister bring to the table.. hope he brings some quick draws and points go down . Many skilled and able people waiting desperately just because of points.. till now it has been a pnp express entry affair.

The first few months are mostly going to be devoted to Syrian refugees. Do not expect any swift changes in other immigration streams till the 25,000 Syrians arrive.

Is there any solid proofs?

You can expect changes for sure, but nothing too dramatic when it comes to the express entry program itself. New CRS points given to applicants with Canadian Siblings and maybe a more transparent selection process could happen. They've also promised to change the Canadian Experience Class to help international students, which might mean that international students might end up being taken out of the pool, leading to a significant downsizing of the EE pool and thus more opportunities for workers in the pool.

I hope he would also look into skilled workers who were affected by the 4-in 4-out rule. I hope he can give chance to skilled workers who went back to their home country who were affected by that rule. I hope he will give considerations to bring back the LMIAs.

John McCullum has openly endorsed EE in interviews, criticized on the abuse of TFWP and asked for heavier control in LMO. So anyone who say he will make big EE draws, lower LMIA requirement etc. are likely to be disappointed.

Though for some groups of people, as @GARJ mentioned may benefit.
