So...this may be a bit weird but to everyone out there in Toronto...there are jobs in CIC for Immigration Support Officers!! Go search it up on google and apply for them. I guess they really need people, and maybe cases will start being processed faster after they hire. Unfortunately I don't live in Toronto but for those who do, it's a great chance to put all the knowledge you have gained from these forums to good use since you will be managing, tracking and handling applications and therefore using terminology you may very well be acquainted with! Just thought I would put it out there. Good luck!

Some places hire everyone as "Seasonal" that way, if they don't like you/you're a terrible employee, it's easier to let you go. Then they keep the winners on as regular employees. It's an underhanded way to weed out the crappy employees. My former job used to do it.

So I read the description. At $24/hour, they expect you to be able to detect fraudulent documents. Really? Seems like that would be a specialized field of work and specialized = expensive....

Yeah, I'm surprised by this too. You'd expect that something that requires so much responsibility would be handled by people commanding a bit more than $24 an hour.
