So...this may be a bit weird but to everyone out there in Toronto...there are jobs in CIC for Immigration Support Officers!! Go search it up on google and apply for them. I guess they really need people, and maybe cases will start being processed faster after they hire. Unfortunately I don't live in Toronto but for those who do, it's a great chance to put all the knowledge you have gained from these forums to good use since you will be managing, tracking and handling applications and therefore using terminology you may very well be acquainted with! Just thought I would put it out there. Good luck! :)

Hmm..don't pay much compared to health care atleast

Qualifications: "I hung around the immigration forum a lot and gave advice. Some of it was good and some was awful. Also posted pictures of my cat."

Somehow I don't think I'd qualify (even if I lived in Toronto!) :P :P :P

I've seen everyone from people with Masters to high school dropouts getting hired into gov jobs...so as long as you show them you know about policy, keep up with CIC's current events and happenings and know what you're talking about in your interview (which I know lots of people on this forum do), fact is they will at least consider you and you may just :o get hired!

If you have a job with a good plan already, don't leave it :D they are harder to come by...but in case ppl out there are looking for a job...

I was suggesting that a job which requires so much responsibility, is not paying as much.

Cutbacks I guess...

Random question.. would it matter if you have an application in process with them? Maybe it sounds dumb but Im just wondering lol

I don' see these jobs on google. Even went onto CIC website to check. How much were they offering for salary?
