Jobs an American can get quickly

My American partner is trying to find a way to live with me in British Columbia, and is curious as to what kind of work he is likely to get as an American without a visa or permit. He has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and a little bit of IT experience.

I would try for a job that is on the NAFTA occupation list. If you can get a job for an occupation that's on the NAFTA list, this means you don't need an LMIA to qualify for a work permit. The LMIA process is very long an expensive and most employer's aren't willing to go through the process.
