If you are outside Canada, chances are slim. They will not call you. But u have to make an effort to contact them..
You chances will be very high when u move to Canada.
I searched through, linked in, indeed.com and every other job sites and also individual companies websites to look for jobs.
I managed to secure a few interviews within 2 weeks of arrival in Vancouver and finally found a full time job in the banking sector in 3 weeks. So I say be patient and u have to be very lucky in terms of job search.

If anyone needs help in finding finance/banking positions, I may provide u with the links and contacts that I have used.

Hello all,

I am applying for engineering managers, as the institutes in our country not similar to that in canada. The job experience we have been doing in our country will be recognised there. I do have plan to upgrade my studies eventhough I am just thinking if my experience will be recognised or not.

If your professional field is non-regulated - then it depends on your transferable skills, try to search online - identify the skills in your field that are in demand, and focus on building your competence in those skills (this is valid for IT/Telecom fields - as i don't have knowledge in other fields).

If your field is regulated in canada, then its a different story and probably upgrading education would make sense in this case.

I came to Canada 3 months ago as safety officer, through a consultant in firdous market - Lahore Pakistan.

In canada, I saw the any body who can work in construction is highly in demand.

Safety officer is also good but its boring, nothing to do full day.

Just have to do the duty nothing else.

So, if you don't like to work, than safety officer is fine other wise, its very boring.
